It sounds like all three mules could be good work shoes for you and the mule style suits your climate and your feet. It sounds like you're not chasing a trend so much as taking advantage of a style that suits you -- it is a good time to stock up on mules if they're your thing! Definitely prefer the Allbirds over the Propets. For that reason, when I find great, comfy shoes I feast and blow the budget. I know I can go for years without finding shoes so I have to go for it when I can. If you have the same issue- splurge ( you can always go lean in another area) Anonymous on "Shopping Dilmena" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/shopping-dilmena#post-1913906 Sat, 28 Apr 2018 23:20:00 +0000 Anonymous 1913906@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ I am so glad you love the Borns as well, Suzanimal.  They are just fascinating to me.  They are a nylon with a great pattern.  They mold to my foot.   Gigi -- In full disclosure, I had to rework my entire wardrobe earlier this year due to a change in weight.  I took out a small loan advance in February to cope with the sheer amount of internet shopping I had to do.  That loan will be paid off in full with next month's salary.   I did a lot of spending in early 2018 but I tried to spend responsibly.  Of special note, all that shopping was not fun.  It was quite stressful and I even wondered if I had lost my love of shopping and fashion. I am also moved to be a shoe enabler and suggest keeping all three pair of mules. You make a very good case for mules being an ideal shoe type for you in that you have confirmed that they fit well and you will be able to wear them for a substantial fraction of the year. I think the Taryn Rose pair will mesh well with your navy, white, and gray clothing, and do a really nice job of lightening up your palette in warmer seasons. To me the Naturalizers look like more of a sharp office-day shoe and the Borns more of a work-from home and maybe run some errands shoe. Of course, I think you could wear the Borns to the office as well (and you might find that with the ventilation you lean on those in the hottest part of the summer). If you are worried about getting sufficient wear out of the various pairs, then I suggest coming up with a "formula" for each shoe: I will wear the Naturalizers when X, the Borns when Y, and the Taryn Rose when Z. The one note of caution I would sound is that if mules are a new style to your closet, it could be that you don't like them as much as you think you do now in the thrill of successful shoe shopping. Then you are stuck with three pair of a style that aren't so great. But I think it is equally possible that this new style could prove to be really IT -- a great match for your climate and feet, and you will wonder how you ever did without them. So I guess I come down on the side of enabling, lol! Sterling's climate is warm vs. cold. She can wear these for a long time, which is another reason I think that getting all three pair is a good idea if she loves mules and they fit and feel comfortable.
