It was buying shooties that inspired me to buy fun socks too. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/shootiebootie-reviews--keepers#post-1995548 Thu, 24 Jan 2019 14:39:20 +0000 bj1111 1995548@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Angie's blog post yesterday tickled me when she noted that shorties felt slightly fresher than booties. &nbsp;I've been on a k/r binge to find footwear to update my <a rel="nofollow" href="https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/2019-wild-cards-and-completers">"basic" wardrobe.</a></p> <p>the keepers:</p> <p><b>via spiga farleys</b> (on sale at Nordies now). &nbsp;the top of the shaft is curved rather than straight which I find easier to wear. &nbsp;the heel height is perfect and the heel shape reads as western without being "western". it feels refined while on trend. &nbsp;very supportive with a cushioning manmade sole. &nbsp;I've taken it on 4 trips already since I got them at the beginning of the year and they are now my go to presentation shoe.</p> <p><b>fryes sacha moto short bootie.</b> &nbsp;the shaft, while higher, very wearable. &nbsp;the texture of these booties are amazing-almost textile like while in leather. &nbsp;dove gray with lilac undertones, much prettier in person. &nbsp;footbed feels custom -made for my foot. &nbsp;it does rub a bit at the inside ankle but socks take care of that. &nbsp;I won't be able to wear it barefoot so this is my chance to get "fun socks". &nbsp;already worn three times.</p> <p><b>via spiga saran slip ons.</b> &nbsp;had to size down to get the right fit for my skinny heel and wider forefoot. &nbsp;love the orange detail. &nbsp;it's a bit pinky red--more persimmon than orange. &nbsp;I'm keeping for an orange complement capsule with slightly mismatched orange tones, but all are warm.</p> <p><b>Rebecca Minkoff koso white shooties</b>. &nbsp;Angie is my twin! and at $33, it was rude not to keep them. &nbsp;I've tried them on with several outfits, but haven't worn them out due to weather.</p> <p><b>dvf mollo Chelsea Bootie</b>. &nbsp;probably keeping as it's a dressy bootie and I'm in the market for a dressy heeled bootie replacement. &nbsp;shaft is higher than I normally prefer, but expandable side construction and slim fit around the ankle are good.</p> <p>I'll post the returns separately if you want. </p>
