The ankle wrap/tie thing has been done (I still have some that I plan to wear). Love that color. </p> <p>Smittie, I am liking lilac on those wearing it so far here on YLF, but I haven’t really seen any where I can try it on. I own ZERO in anything near that color, so shoes in it would be worn with, I guess, outfits in white and blue, which admittedly is a big part of my summer wardrobe. I wonder what that color would look like on my skin tone — last time I tried it, it was probably too muddy and pale a shade, so it made me look sick. It’s an idea to consider though to inject something interesting into my summer footwear through use of a (possibly trendy) color if nothing else is sparking my interest. My winter footwear choices tend to be more neutral, but perhaps I can have more fun with color in the summer. I can’t help you with retail suggestions but will post what worked for me just for ideas.<br /> The 2 flat black pairs of sandals in Finds worked well for casual occasions. Comfy because of the thick sole.<br /> On the dressier side, the perforated high shaft peep toe sandals were my favourite shoes for the summer. (I don’t even know what brand they are. I bought them in an Indy shop in Melbourne.) They have a 2 inch block heel and are very comfy - for a heeled shoe of course. Love the high shaft. I reckon a similar style, maybe in grey, silver or bronze, would work for you.<br /> I also really liked the taupe peep toe booties. Although I wish they were a regular full grain leather not nubuck. They have that western vibe Angie mentions and are amazingly comfortable. High shaft again and I like the way the elastic creates a nice slim fit around the lower leg.
