Franco Sarto comes in wide. Their square-toe booties fit my wide feet AND bunions (new last year), which have presented quite the challenge! Even wide-size bunion specialty shoes don’t work for me. The olive Clarks look beautiful!

I’d like to add to my comment. If I can’t find size 10W in a shoe that I like, I’ll go up to size 11. Usually, the size 11 fits my 10W feet with some “spilling over” the outer sides and the toe cleavage of my two outer toes showing, but I can live with that. However, my two latest purchases of ballet flats were both size 11 medium width, and both pairs comfortably fit my 10W feet with no spilling over the outer sides and no toe cleavage showing. Both pairs of ballet flats (like the rest of my ballet flats and pumps) are Walmart Time and Tru brand. This is due to my income. Hopefully, you all understand.

My feet used to be size 8-8 1/2, bordering on wide width; I could comfortably wear 8 1/2 medium width most of the time. Now, I’m up to 10 wide width and have tailors bunions (bunions on the little toes).

@Jen-the pickings are very slim in Wide. I'm guessing even slimmer in Extra wide. I've noticed a lot of the "barefoot" style shoes come in wider widths although they can be minimalist in terms of support. I'll keep an eye out for Easy Spirit. Thanks for the tip.
@lyn67: haha! This menopause thing is not very much fun! Wider waist, wider feet, I'm having to widen my mind to get through it!
@LJP: I wish you could have purchased them at US prices but knowing what I know now, I would have paid full price. I think I've worn them at least 6 days a week they're so comfortable. My outfits have been built around these shoes since I got them!

So I ordered those sandals in olive amd just received them today ! The 8 in regular width fit me perfectly . I was concerned at first glance that the Olive would be too cool and grey toned to work with my other olive pieces ( which are more in the saturated yellow/ green tones ) but they seem to be fine ! I’m still marveling / wondering why I jumped so quickly because they are FAR more expensive here than what you paid ( not on sale ) and I don’t really need them , but olive anything is always good in my closet so hopefully I won’t regret it ;). I need to take a closer look at my invoice in case I’m remembering this wrong , lol.

My feet are now at least a WW and sometimes even wider. They’ve always been wide, but with a bunion I can no longer wear most plain old W shoes. Last winter the only black booties I could find that fit were by Dr. Comfort. I tried millions. Most wide shoe brands are not actually made for truly wide feet.

That said, I have had some luck with Munros (sandals, but alas no longer boots). I am really at wit’s end about it all, though.

Thanks, Angie! That's good to know about the ECCO 7. When I measure the width of my feet, they're not quite a wide according to the chart I found on line. I'm a little more 1/4" over the standard B. I'll keep an eye open for Joseph Seibel - I think I had a pair a long time ago.

@Sharan: Right? I was looking at shoe stretchers and now think I should look at the kind that work for boots! Honestly, though, I haven't worn my boots much the last year or so. Might be time to pass some of them on...

Thanks, Cat2. I'm actually looking for a podiatrist. I figured by the time I find one and get an appointment, I'll know whether this is just a temporary inflammation or something else. I actually think it might have something to do with an impingement - it's the same side that I've had some knee/hip issues.

Another suggestion, have you tried Super Feet or other insoles for shoes
you find are suddenly lacking support? And, this might a good time to see a podiatrist, before you invest in a new round of shoes that may not be what she would recommend. Our feet lose cushioning and the arches can change.

Thank you! Right now, I'm pretty much only wearing the Clarks and Arizonas. My Taos slides are okay and my Tevas (but they're not work appropriate.) Danskos seem to be fine too but they're kind of clompy for much walking. Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I'm not looking for anything in particular just yet--just wanted to get some suggestions in case I do have some replacing to do.

@Chris: Sorry the blouses didn't work out. I love how floaty they are but I get what you mean about the rumply fabric. The sandals are so amazing and you picked the perfect colors for your palette. I'm so glad you shared!
@kerry: Thank you. My Ecco7 are one of the shoes that just aren't as comfortable on my right foot. I used to wear those every day. The Birk sneakers looks great but I have my eye on a Clark sneaker with a zipper. I've always wanted to try Blundstones - this might be the year.
@ChristelJ: Thanks! Sorry you missed out on the Clarks. If they ever become available again, do try them!
@Janet: I've noticed the same about some of my old standby shoes. Even though they look like they are in good condition, maybe they have lost some of their support? I"m going to be weeding out more than a few pairs this summer. So sad!
@Carol: Good to know that the Clark booties are comfy too!
@Jamie: Lol! Thank you!
@Brooklyn: I have been thinking about a shoe stretcher and you convinced me to try one. It's really only one side that needs it. I think even a 1/4" in some of my wider shoes would be enough to make them wearable.Worth a try!
@LJP: Ha! Glad that I could help. The olive is great and hope that you find them comfy!
@Angie: Thank you! My Danskos feel fine - agree that they are wider. My Ecco shoes in regular are the ones that are bothering me so might need those in a wide at some point. I'll keep the others on my radar!
@Marmee: Thank you! Those Naturalizers look great. Thet brand seems to have a good selection in wide. And another recommendation for Blundstone! I really must check those out. The sizing on those was confusing TBH--enough to dissuade me from trying them in the past.

Hi kellygirl! I DID post about these sandals a few months ago, in a post about Anthro blouses. https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....ich-colors

I got 2 prs of the sandals - in black and in tan, in regular widths. They have been total workhorses this summer, instantly comfortable, a little height without a heel due to the small platform, and just snug enough on my low-volume but not narrow feet (a rare thing in sandals.) I liked the olive color too but it would not be so versatile in my wardrobe. Interesting that they also work well for those who need wide widths.

p.s. I ended up returning the Anthro blouses. After wearing one at home for a while I felt the fabric was too thin and rumply. I know that was the intended style but I didn't like it.

I’m sure birks are on most people’s radar for wider feet but I didn’t know until recently that they have sneakers!

https://www.nordstrom.com/s/bi.....rsonalized

I bought these a size up from my normal arizona size. I haven’t worn them out yet but they’re nice and roomy in the toebox (which is where I need the width). I have small pie-shaped feet with a high instep.

I also like Keen, Blundstone (half sizes is where you get width), Ecco Soft 7, New Balance wides. It’s very hard to find wide sizes in Canada. I like a lot of unisex styles but my feet are too short to wear men’s sizes (W6.5).

These sandals look so good on you! Beautiful color. Glad to hear to they are comfy. I wanted some cognac ones when Chris posted about hers but waited too long and my size is gone now. I have wide forefeet and narrow heels and have always liked Clarks and also some European brands like Romika. Lately I often buy sandals with adjustable straps on the forefeet.

My BFF has wider feet and loves Clarks!

My feet are changing as I age, but I think it’s mostly losing padding on the bottoms — some footbeds are just not as comfortable for long periods of time as they used to be. My decade-old LD Tuttle sandals have a heel of maybe 2” and I used to wear them all day long — now I restrict them to a few hours with not too much walking, and baby them a bit, keeping them for dressier occasions.

At the same time, my slightly wider left foot is sometimes the sticking point when it comes to shoe comfort. I need to make sure any shoes I consider don’t rub on that foot — I broke a bone (multiple bones perhaps?) in the top of that foot many years ago, and it’s more prone to feel discomfort if pressed on, now more than in the past.

My feet have always been slightly narrow and slightly low volume, and my heels especially so. It’s getting harder and harder to find shoes that don’t slip off my heels as I walk.

I feel very lucky to be a person who has relative ease with foot comfort, but even so, aging definitely takes a toll and introduces challenges!

I do think my feet have changed, not wider but more demanding. Great sandals!

My feet are definitely getting wider at the front. My husband bought a shoe stretcher from Amazon and that’s helped to make my existing shoes a bit roomier in the toe box. Probably not for sandals but good for closed toe shoes.

Ha! Thanks Kelly ! I had been thinking about these sandals but couldn’t remember who posted them or even what brand they were . I’ve been trying to find an olive green sandal for years . I ordered a regular width but I’m glad I read this post nonetheless . Ordered !

Kelly, I have many clients with wide and wider feet.

Many order a WIDE size. Munro, Bella Vita, Vionic, Easy Spirit and Naturalizer are great brands to wear in WIDE sizes.

If you go up half a size in Paul Green, that works well too.

Dansko, Ilse Jacobson, Blundstone, and Clarks run wide. Sometimes ECCO and Gabor too.

I have high volume, slightly wide feet and wear either shoes that are on the roomier side or sometimes a wide. I've had some luck with Sam Edelman (although not much support there), Naturalizer, and Munro. Also, Ecco sandals and Blundstone boots in a regular width. I love the Naturalizers in the find below.

Lol - I know I don't have everything figured out! Still trying to navigate! I've heard about losing the padding on the feet as we age - I haven't lost any padding yet (anywhere - haha.) I thought I had arthritis on the outside of one foot but then thought it might be my shoes. I'm still not sure but will give it a month to see if wider shoes help.

I think Chris posted about these Clarks. They were on sale on Amazon and available in wide. I wanted a fisherman style sandal - not black - so these were perfect! I have a narrow heel too, btw.

It's my understanding that our feet get flatter, we lose fat pads on bottom of feet, and the feet spread out more. In my case, I have narrow heels but bunions.

Just when you think you've got everything figured out . . .

Those are great looking Clarks. I should take a look at what they have now. I used to wear them. My most comfortable, best looking sandals were Clarks.
