Sal and Angie--thanks for the advice!
Jaime--I would honestly love to wear heels more, but most of them are hard just to get to the car.

Nice shoes! I would not even get to the car in them, so dancing a few hours sounds sounds amazing. Nothing to add to the great suggestions above.

You can try a few cushioning foot petals too.

Pretty shoes and excellent suggestions ! Have a lovely time at the wedding

I would wear the silver shoes, try out some inner sole options for sure. Hosiery can sometimes make heels more comfortable too.

I have sometimes had backup shoes in the car, or danced barefoot etc but it does depend on the crowd.

SW Ann--absolutely a good idea to try them on first. Thanks!

Sharan--those do look like something I might need, especially with my tiny heels. Maybe I will pick them up. Thanks.

JAileen--good to know they may just give me an extra hour or two--maybe that's all I need. Thanks!

Jenni--I definitely won't bring sneakers into the venue, because it is formal, and that would ruin the vibe. However, there is a spacious parking lot, so maybe I can keep some in the car. Thanks.

As you know Carol I attended a wedding just over a week ago, a summer wedding for us. Most women including me had shoes off by the end of the dancing. Of course we could dance in bare feet. Some women wearing boots or sneakers did not remove their shoes. There were not many of them as such a hot day.
I often take a tote bag along that tones in with my outfit. Could you sneak some sneakers along? For dancing later in the evening and for walking to the car? Those are beautiful shoes, love them!

Oh - those are cute shoes! I think the insoles you have will probably be fine for a few hours. I have a stupid foot issue, and have bought probably every insole available. I have those CVS ones for shoes that I might wear for only an hour or two. If you have no issues otherwise, you’ll pobably be fine.

Carol, I love these Superfeet insoles for heels. I've used mine with heeled booties in the past. They make a huge difference in comfort for me. The cool thing is, they don't have adhesive or anything, so you can use them in different pairs of shoes. I've had mine for years.

I have, in my past, placed cushions in my shoes to help with the feel of the heel. It has helped. Unless it makes the toe area too tight, and then the cushion with help with the ball but your toes will scream as the evening wears on. You should try ahead of time, and see how it feels, around the house. I have cut the insole a bit to ease up the area of the toe to fit better. Good luck, and have a great time. Those shoes are gorgeous!

Have been off a few days and plan on checking back soon. Hope all U.S. folks had a nice Thanksgiving, and non-U.S. folks had a nice week.

Next weekend I have a wedding, code: formal. I am comfortable with my outfit, and I will probably stick with this semi-comfortable pair of heels. Comfortable enough to dance for a couple hours, but pretty bad on the walk back to the car. They are that in-between heel comfort.

Probably won't buy something new, so that is not the answer I am looking for. These have decent cushioning, but I am wondering if I add in a layer of foam insole on the bottom, will it help? I just have a simple, flat cushion form from CVS, "compare to Dr. Scholl's."

I have high arches, a wide foot, and narrow heels.
