I live in a very cold and snowy climate. Two hours north of Toronto. Brrrr. I wear Sorels. Angie did a Blog post of some winter boots. I would post a link but I am computer challenged. I don't know how. Hangs head in shame.
I separate dressy from warm. I realized I could not achieve both in the same boot a few years ago. But I have very cold feet. Also it is very icy on my streets.

For something dressy, warm, and understated, I like these 'Kia's from La Canadienne.

If you can do a wedge, these Sorels are great. They come in other color combos too.

Today I wore #1, Lucky Brand Basel zip booties to church. Friday night I wore #2, Seychelles Lucky Penny to dinner and then to see David Sedaris (he was great!). I bought #3 and #4, both Timberland boots this year. They are for when there is SOME snow on the ground. They are both waterproof and have good traction. I've started breaking in #3, but haven't worn #4 at all. I also have a couple pairs of snow boots for when there is real snow. Hopefully we will get a lot, if predictions are true.

This is a good question. I'm wearing my Docs and Timberlands but need cute boots like abc posted. I'm not weather challenged but like the look of boots with skinnies in fall/winter. I'd like to find some comfortable and stylish short boots.

Are you looking for suggestions or just to see what others are wearing for fun? If you are looking for suggestions more info on your climate and needs would be helpful.

I've been enjoying my two new pairs of boots lately.
