Blush and metallics can also serve as nudes that can be worn with almost anything.
Try ECCO or your most comfortable brands. Below are some that may work from Finds. The black ones also come in lighter neutral shades.

Suntiger-1) your cat is so beautiful! 2) thanks for the tip about the moleskin...I think I need to stock some! I guess I thought it was a sort of bandage.

2) Kkards—Happy to help you procrastinate! I just had a peek and I thank you so much for your suggestions. I really need someone else’s perspective to help me to NOT overlook good options and to venture out some. Have to get back to work now myself, but I’m looking forward to delving into your picks later. Again, thanks so much. Initially I really like the perforated shoe, the taller pump, the cork shoe and the Fly shoe. (Sorry, on mobile). The d’orsay styles look fantastic, but I’m more comfortable with “plain”. Around $200 is good, possibly more.

Style for work is just functional, I suppose! I stick to pants (trousers, ankle pants) and simple tops that I can wear a lab coat over. Working on figuring out my preferred non-work style.

i love shoes...so i've been happily shopping for you this morning....beats finishing my taxes! anyway, here's something i found...not knowing what price you were comfortable with or what your over all style is, i realize that i maybe totally off the mark, but as i say, bettern than doing my taxes...the last 2 d'orsay styles may not work with a narrow heel, but i just thought they were so cute, and if i was looking for closed toed shoes for spring/summer biz cas these would be top contenders...good luck

Seconding Gigi about mules! My heels are too narrow for any transitional shoes, so mules and slingbacks are my go to. I did add moleskine for a better fit for these, though I wouldn't walk more than a mile in either. The red ones I have in black instead, and wear those to work-the mustard are just for casual wear for me.

Thanks again, smittie :)

Gigi—i don’t think I’ve ever worn mules. That’s an idea.... I’ll expand my search!

I can't recommend any particular pairs of shoes, but how about a chunky-heeled mule? Those would be on trend and not too classic. And you wouldn't have to worry about your heel, since there wouldn't be a back to the shoe.

I'm with you on needing heel height. I look dumpy with ankle-length pants and midis without some heel help!

I do like that shoe! The perforations are interesting. Where do I find Angie's opinion? Definitely want to try these. Thanks, Smittie and Bennett!

The shoe smittie pictures above is gorgeous. I think any shoe with a block heel reads as more current and casual than a traditional pencil heel. BTW, that shoe above comes in black, too!

Angie has recommended these. See her opinion in the write-up.
I like that they're casual-dressy. Not sure if this type of shoe will stay on your foot though!

I wear black shoes 80% of the time so that is my priority, though I’ll also need a taupe/nude color.

Need closed toe for my dress code and I need some heel height (I’m good with 2-3 inches).

Regular pumps look too dressy for business casual to me and I’m afraid that at this point I may always need some sort of strap to keep my foot in a shoe if it’s not a boot. Maybe my heel is more narrow than it used to be?

Of course I want comfort, but I’m still vain enough to want the heel—I feel like I look 20lbs heavier in ankle pants and flats!

Anything come to mind? All suggestions are appreciated!
