These are very nice looking but I sure get it about the price. Luckily my feet aren't extremely picky. I think the style of these is really nice and would last a long time though.

Ah, got it. Shoes are the hardest thing to find, I find. Once around the house and they're yours! I didn't realize Nordstrom would take them back if the bottoms had been a bit scuffed up.

Uh oh.

It's pretty substantial and both offer free shipping and returns within the US. It's just that once you wear them outside, or even if you scuff the soles of shoes inside, they're yours. With Nordstrom, if something doesn't work after venturing out on the street, you can still return it.

Actually, it looks like Neiman Marcus carries this brand. Free shipping and returns, like Nordstrom. Not a vast selection, but not miniscule either.

Ooh, GF, it sounds like we have a similar shoe-finding nightmare going on. You ended up ordering from Net-a-Porter?

If there is any brick-and-mortar place in Manhattan that carries these, I would be glad to go there in person and ship to you. I'm in the city once a week and my shipping policies are very forgiving. :) We ladies of extremely fussy feet must stick together.

And the search for the Holy Grail continues...

I stumbled upon this designer a few weeks ago, when I read an article about the company's history and craftsmanship in Telegraph or the Guardian. I'm willing to try any shoe designer that has a history and commitment to making comfortable shoes, so I ordered a few pairs. I scoured for online sales, but there weren't many and the styles didn't appeal to me. Full price it had to be.

Let me start off by saying that, for me, the prices are exorbitant. I've tried shoes in a range of prices (Payless and upward) and because of my foot problems (2E width across bunions, collapsed arches, ligament laxity, overpronation) I don't have the luxury of being picky with price. Fortunately for my wallet, shoes rarely fit (literally, less than 1% of the time); and, unfortunately for my sense of style, the ones that cause the least discomfort tend to be very casual and frumpy, or chunky and clunky.

Within the world of designer shoes, I've tried on Louboutins, Jimmy Choo, Prada, Miu Miu, Salvatore Ferragamo, Stuart Weitzman, Tory Burch, Chloe, Lanvin, Repetto--and that's just off the top of my head! This brand is, compared to the others, the most comfortable of the lot. The arch support of the insole fits squarely where it should on my foot, and I suspect there is a good heel cup, since my foot isn't sliding forward. The low heel on the boots and strappy shoes is comfortable, very balanced, and feels lower than it is. I love the strappy shoe, but it is better suited to medium to high volume feet. The straps can be adjusted, but not enough for low volume feet. I tried on a low heel patent ballet flat, but found the patent a bit too stiff for my liking. The patent leather on the boots has more give. There were other shoe models that I wanted to try, but many were sold out in the 41.5-42 range.

I'm not sure if I'll be keeping any at this point because any misjudgment of fit is far too costly. Sadly, Nordstrom's doesn't carry these, and companies like Net-A-Porter doesn't have a very forgiving return policy. The brand is supposed to be durable, and is a favourite of Eva Chen's apparently, so perhaps one of you will be able to take the risks that I can't.
