First the Zara loafers and now my lovely pointy-toe booties. Oh well, the good news is that <b>there is good news!</b></p> <p><b>Loafers:</b> Thank you <b>Kristin SF</b> and <b>K.Period</b>. <b>Those little heel pads worked! </b>The loafers fit and my heels are no longer slipping! I will probably be somewhat judicious about how long I wear them -- I don't know if they are effective enough for all-day wear -- but they are great for work purposes (5-6 hours at a stretch with clients). I layered two pads in the left shoe, where the real problem was, and put one in the right for good measure. Excellent. I wish I had another source then Amazon (since they continue to rip off the Hatchett writers) but alas, this is where I bought them, and I received them in less than 24 hours. Fortunately, he didn't puncture the suede -- but he did manage to gnaw off a lot of the black rubberized coating of the block heel -- leaving swatches of exposed bald white plastic. <b>Sharpie to the rescue! </b>Now, I have to be sure that no one decides to caress my heels because they are a mess to the touch, but they <i>look</i> great. What would we do without Sharpies???? </p>
