Thank you ladies - sounds like a thumbs up with mostly rolled or ankle pants - luckily I have several options for both styles there and yes Suz, in our warm climate I can do this most of the fall/winter. I like the idea of trying to keep it feminine but my hair also does a good bit of that (long, wavy) and I usually do wear bracelets and sometimes additional jewelry.

Edit: I'm also going to try these booties (not in place of, but in addition to the oxfords). My current brown booties are really just a touch too big and are only comfortable with very thick or double socks. I need some I can wear with thin socks for "cool" not "cold" weather. The 2" heel is pretty much the maximum I think I would do.

These are lovely on you! They bookend your hair beautifully and if they are comfortable, they're a go. I like oxfords worn like this with rolled pants, or pants at ankle length. You can do that most of the year in your climate, right? If it is cooler than this, you can wear them with full length pants, too, but it may feel more "mannish" than you like that way.

Thumbs up. I like the colour - they are very neutral and work well with your hair.

I think they look great with your hair. I wear mine as a dressy version of sneakers.

I was "rolling" in the summer, but it's too seasonally confused for me for cool weather, even with sheer knee-highs.

I am likely an outlier, but I will wear oxfords with full-length scrunched pants. They do need to be not too full in the leg,so there's the bit of top of foot.

For some styles I would also wear with a thin sock, for a menswear look. If I do that I have to make the rest of the outfit more girlie--some kind of more feminine blouse or sweater, not a tailored look, meaning not a full-on menswear outfit. I think that's not very fashion-approved. I'm not sure I have all of the items I need for that look this winter and am more focused on boots, but I have black patent oxfords I still might wear that way. I've kind of adapted to having summer vs winter pant-shoe combos, but at times I like to think I could extend the versatility and use more items year-round (maybe not deepest winter) insead of boxing them up and wondering if they'll still be in style in 6 months.

Great shoes! I wear mine with BFs rolled most of the time. I rarely wear them with my straight legs jeans because the heel isn't quite high enough but I would if I could. They are a great color for you and look refined casual to me.

Thanks Diane and Janet. After looking around on pinterest I noticed most seemed to be shown rolled or the pants were at ankle length with oxfords. I'm going to see if I can find any of Angie's examples. Funnny, these feel slightly dressed up compared to many of my shoes. In a good way.

I think they look great with the BFs. I also like oxfords with straight leg (or not-legging-tight-skinny) jeans, either rolled or full-length.

Oh, these look really good! I like how you rolled your jeans too and the lighter wash of the jeans looks great with the shoe colour. They look great! Keep!

All summer I really wanted a pair of lace up oxfords. I tried several but each failed for various reasons. This pair is from Easy Spirit and I do like them. But...all of a sudden I feel like I have no clue how to wear them! In fact, I
feel sort of unsure of how to wear all of my jeans with fall/winter
shoes!

I wear jeans (various colors/washes) so much of the time - but I wonder which style of jean is best to wear with oxfords? And should they be rolled always or not?

I just threw them on with what I was wearing (faded BFs and simple print tee) so no real styling here -
but it makes me wonder how to actually style oxfords, since it's a shoe
I'm not used to wearing. I don't wear skirts so it's really a matter of
how would I style these with jeans and other pants.

The comfort level was super as soon as I slipped one one so they passed that test. I'm wearing them around the house today to make sure they feel good for longer periods. I do walk a lot and these offer support. The color is a deep taupe but still light enough to bookend my hair. They are suede so I'd need to do something to protect them.

Help!
