If you have really light skin, a powdery blue could be a nude whereas on someone with darker skin they would pop. Same with olive, against light skin they stand out but with darker skin they would be lower contrast. I always confuse these) Nude colors are way too hard and there is a lot of leather to this shoe. I have some strappy Clarks in similar blue that are sort of neutral, but in the end just blue sandals in my world. But I get a lot of wear from them because I like blue and have a lot of it in my summer wardrobe.</p> <p>In quilting light (sage?) green is often used as a neutral color for the quilting stitches on a colorful quilt so yes it can be a neutral.
