I sympathize with ordering shoes online. I do much better than I thought I would by going to sites with lots of online reviews. In the US, I find zappos, Amazon and Nordstroms especially helpful. I read as many reviews as possible to see how the shoes run, what kind of arches they work for, if there is room for an insole, etc. Don't know how much of this info is available in Australia, but you can use it regardless of where it makes sense to purchase the shoes. As a half size, it is helpful to know whether to go up or down. Zappos sells and reviews lots of Noats- some run wide, some long, some narrow, some small. Mind you my real shoe size is probably half a size smaller, but there aren't many 5.5 shoes made and I usually get by on a 6. &nbsp;The shoe went down to a 5 in the black.<br />Helen - I did look at Paul Carroll a month or so back and found some black ones there that would be acceptable as a backup.
