Yes, I saw that too, they probably haven't synched their inventory I went ahead and ordered the pewter. I can definitely use them, it's just it seems like they won't be as versatile. Ana, do you wear your snake ones a lot? I find that they only go with very neutral monochromatic outfits, but I might have to get more creative.

Ooh, thank you Inge! Actually, I'd love to find a size 8 Me Too, in black nappa/patent, and also the black and white version. I'd take either of those. If you could only find 8.5, I'd look at those as well. Thank you so much! :)

You're welcome Angie. I'm glad you could get another pair in pewter, and if you swap with Maya, white is settled then too. Now we only need to find you another pair in black.
(Not much luck - yet - with the croco Stuart Weitzman boots unfortunately. And oh boy, they sure are gorgeous!!)

To sum it up:
Tanya: you want another pair in black (leather), size 8?
Marianne: you'd like either black or white in size 8?
Ana: you're looking for black ones in a size 8.5?
Shiny: I know you'd love the Nini's in silver in a size 6.5 right? (I haven't come across those yet).

Angie, you don't have to give me anything in return. I'm not getting any use out of them anyway and I feel silly having two pairs of the same shoes in my closet (one of which I don't even wear)! If you're not getting any use out of the tote, I'll certainly take it off your hands, but you are under no obligation to make it a symmetrical swap.

First let's see if they fit you properly, just in case I might have stretched them too much with my wide feet. I'll bring them to me at the YLF convention I'll also have to see how the tote lies on me. Slings can do funny things to a bit chest!

Thanks Inge! You're a honey. I'm going to nab another pewter pair.

Maya, that’s a brilliant offer and I'll definitely bear that in mind. I'm absolutely sure your feet are fungus free. Now, how does a mango yellow pleather sling tote grab you as a swap?

I haven’t been too bothered with this style stretching. They’ve stretched out a bit but the shoe absolutely stays on my feet. Believe me, they would NOT be in my wardrobe if they malfunctioned in any way.

Brianna, if anything these flats run big and will stretch with wear. I don't think I would size up. Ideally I'd suggest getting the 7.5, but if that isn't available, can you order the 7 and the 8 and return whichever doesn't fit? I want to say go for the 7's since in my experience they were too big, but feet are so individual and the same shoes that feel gigantic on one person will feel tight on another.

I have Swanns in snake print, and I am very tempted to order pewter. Has anyone ordered from DSW before? Ideally I would prefer black or white. If anyone finds them in size 8, I'd love to hear about it.

Wow, I'm so excited--I just found a bunch of Swanns on the Canadian Zappos. They don't show up when I look under the Me Too brand, but when I type Swann into the search box, they come up. I think I'm going to order at least two pairs. I'm thinking of the black ones and the black/white or the black/gold (I want the black/beige but they're not available in 7.5). What do you think of the black/houndstooth ones?

And do these fit true to size? I am a true wide 7.5/38 but can often wear an 8 (my Docs are 8/39), especially in flats. If I could wear an 8 I could get the black/beige.

ETA: On second thought, I may have to pass. Turns out none of the combos I love--black/black, pewter/black, and beige/black--are available in my size. One review said they stretch out a fair bit, though, which makes me tempted to try the beige/black in 7 and see if I can get away with it.

Hm, I have the white Swanns in a 6.5. They are so comfortable in the toe area, where my feet hurt most, but they are just too big for me in the heel and I only wore them a couple of times as a result. I tried a million ways to make them stay on my foot but they are never going to work. They feel more like flipflops than shoes. I went down to a 6 and they fit better in length, but they are still too narrow to be 8 hour shoes. I even tried stretching them but the patent toe isn't as flexible as the rest of the shoe (stretching the 6's, not the 6.5's).

If you get desperate enough for used shoes, let me know Angie. I'd be perfectly happy parting with them because they will never fit me. I promise that even though my feet are ugly they are not gnarly or smelly, nor do I have any fungus or other gross problems. But I know wearing used shoes still skeeves some people out anyway. I hope you can find them new but the offer is on the table.

Tanya, I was going to say, I've searched and the only ones I can find in an 8 are the suede. I figure they are better than nothing, and I was going to order one pair and see how I like them. If they are a good look, I will probably order more. I found a place online that sells the snake print in a size 8 if you are interested.

Tanya, I have two pairs of black and one pewter pair. I REALLY wanted the white but they were sold out. I travel a lot and walk in the city a lot. It’s the best walking shoe for when the weather is a little warmer. It also looks like a Chanel flat, so it won’t date for my personal style. If you come across any of these colours in a size 6,5, PLEASE give me a shout. I am happy to get more. They work with everything in my wardrobe. I thoroughly recommend at least duplicating them!

Ana, welcome to my world (and Maya’s world). I love shoes but do not enjoy shoe shopping anymore as it gets harder every year. However, I’d say that 90% of my clients have some form of foot issue so don’t feel alone. I have to say that there is a much better selection of comfortable and good looking shoes abroad. 50% of my footwear collection was bought else wear (and I don’t have a lot of footwear). America is unfortunately not the best place to purchase fab looking shoes for fussy feet. I cannot for the life of me understand what’s wrong with these footwear buyers.

Well Ana, my Spring footwear search will start in Feb when clients start to prep for Spring. Hopefully, I’ll have more solutions for everyone.

Thanks for the feedback Angie! I will see how the buckle feels when I order them and they get here. If they aren't 8 hours shoes--well, I might keep them for work on the weekends because they're so cute! No, I'll assess them and see how the wide width is. I love the look of SW shoes, but a lot of them are so narrow. I don't even think I have wide feet, really. I've had them measured and the person told me I had a regular width foot.

I figured out why I don't like shoe shopping--it's because all the shoes I think are really cute aren't that comfortable (at least, not 8 hour comfortable), and if it is comfortable, usually it looks a lot clunkier than I really like. The Me Too Swanns is an exception, but sometimes I like to wear something different, and a little dressier.

I duplicated the Me Toos in the snake print, but my black pair are completely worn down. I'm going to buy 3 pairs of the black to replace the pair I currently have.

Ana, I tried on the SW flats and the buckles were disastrously, diggingly uncomfortable – that’s why I asked. Perhaps they shan’t be for you. I hope so!

Peep toes should show some of your toe. If they don’t it’s because the shoe is too narrow for your foot, so you’ll probably need a wider size or style.

Ana, did you duplicate your Swann Flats? (I triplicated mine).

All the shoes that you’ve posted are adorable and stylish, all of which would work with skirts and dresses. I don’t think flats look frumpy with frocks at all. I wear flats with skirts and frocks most of the time. It has a 50’s vibe to it.

A small wedge is the way to go if you’re going to do a heel. I do a lot of that too. Keep it as cushioned as possible, no straps or cut outs and preferably no peep toe. They cut into your toes after a while too. Sling back wedges are also a great option. I have two pairs of those and they both 8 hr shoes (in cream and silver). Let the hunt begin.

Thanks Patience! It turns out only the gold are available in wide width, so I guess it's extra great I decided on those, hee. I do LOVE the Stuart Weitzman Red Quasar patent. It's so pretty!

Those are cute Brianna. The ruching around the edge of the shoe has historically really irritated me though, and I've gotten rubbed raw by it. I usually avoid that. I know Ecco is a comfort brand though, so maybe I will give them a go a little later.

Ana, I love the Diego di Lucca ruffle flats, and the SW Campaign wedges.

How about these? I want these for summer but I can't find them in my size anywhere that will ship to Canada 6PM has them for a great price. I tried on a pair a half size too large for me and they fit me very well except for length. I have wide feet so I bet they'd fit you.

Thank you, San.

Tanya, I think I will get the gold flats from SW, since I really want to replace the pair of gold flats I have right now, and I found the black Me Too Swanns online! So I will be ordering those for sure. Check these out--my absolutely favorite pair of wedges I've found so far (even come in wide width), but out of my price range. Keeping my fingers crossed for a sale:

http://stuartweitzman.zappos.c...../M_12.html

Angie, I'm interested in your two cents, because I wonder if there is a fashion rule about flats with pencil skirts looking frumpy? The buckle on the SW flats didn't bother me so much as the narrowness of the shoe. I am hoping the wide width will make it better, and then I can better assess how the shoe really feels when I walk around in it, since I've only tried it on and walked around the store a couple of different times. Since the width wasn't comfortable, I didn't really notice much else (that's the one deal breaker for me on shoes, more than straps or buckles or anything). I will definitely let you know when they arrive, though.

I was also wondering if anyone knows this--on peeptoe shoes, do your toes always have to be showing in the hole? Because most peeptoes I've tried on, they don't poke out the hole, and I was wondering if they should? I asked Patience, and she was wondering the same thing, but thought it looked fine if your toes don't show in the hole. I think it looks okay too, but just checking. Does that make sense what I just asked?

Both pair of SW shoes you linked to are so beautiful. You have great taste. I like how you brought up the point that some flats look frumpy. If they don't have enough structure to them they can look frumpy.

Ana, so many ideas and the gals have worked hard to help you. Before I offer my two cents, did the buckle of the SW flats dig into your skin when you walked?
