I almost always have to have some sort of sock on. Can you give me an idea of what kind of shoe your looking for or what you'll wear it for?

I don't wear any shoes except for sandals sans socks or hose for any extended period of time. No matter how comfy the shoe I tend to get rubbing on top of my toe knuckles, plus my feet get sweaty and gross.

This is just a limitation that I have learned to deal with. But I do have secret socks that fit well and stay mostly hidden in my higher vamp shoes. I don't wear closed toe low vamp shoes like ballet flats or pumps. They don't stay on my feet very well anyway.

My dress shoes for summer are all sandals.

I think it is quite difficult to find shoes that work well without some sort of sock. The only pair that works for me in this regard is a pair of Minnetonka's that I found at Winners last year. They are a very soft suede and don't cause any rubbing - but they are very casual.

It is becoming more difficult to find shoes that really feel good when one is looking for shoes , other than sandals of course, to wear without any foot covering like socks, hose, etc. My new comfy pumps that I wore only twice with hose, as I wore them with a just at knee length dress, are not nearly as comfy feeling with bare feet as I do not want, or need, the ph when wearing them with pants.

Gotta return a really nice pair of sport flats as they have x straps and the one strap on one shoe is rubbing a bit on the top of my foot. Put them on with a pair of socks and they felt like slippers. But I do not ever plan to wear them that way so unfortunately they gotta go back. Even some athletic shoes do not feel as good without socks. I am searching for another pair of running shoes like my sketchers that were made for bare feet, but can not find them, and the old ones are getting worn and shabby. I do not like those little footie sock thingies either. On hot days when running the dogs -between runnings etc,. I take off the shoes and put on my old flip flops. So having to take off the sock thingies gets to be just one more thing to keep track of all day,,and I have not found any that do not show either.
