These have a 1/2" platform and a 3" heel so that makes it a wearable 2.5" overall. All my Seychelles pairs have lasted for years. They're worth keeping.</p> <p>Payless shoes are more throwaway for me...they don't tend to hold up for years of use. But they're inexpensive, so that's all right. If you think you'll get a lot of use out of the black heels, keep 'em!</p> <p>Personally I like the BR skirt better, and you probably won't get a lot of use out of two such similar skirts if you keep them both. i think the BR one looks newer, neater, and more flattering on you. They were always skinny from the start, but I'm noticing in the last couple of years, that they are starting to have a more pronounced inward curve and look more like my mother's. An aging sign? Your legs and ankles really are lovely, and both shoes are pretty, but the ankle straps are very flattering. I saw these Seychelles pair a while back in Lucky magazine and when I came across them at Nordstrom Rack, I decided to try them on. I actually think they help my ankles not look so weird. Thoughts?</p> <p>2) I admire heels from afar and often wish I can wear the cute platforms I see all over the place. This Payless version has a nice cushioned insole and didn't rub or hurt me when I tried them on. Thoughts?</p> <p>3 &amp; 4) Do these both work or should I get rid of a pair?</p> <p>Also, what do we think of the thrifted Banana Republic black stretch denim skirt?
