I sympathise, having comfy feet is essential and trying to find new shoes / brands that fit and suit takes time (and mistakes can be costly - I know this too well!). I hope these work for you. They look and I like the bronze ones especially.

I don’t know anything about Robert Zur shoes, but I ordered a pair from Nordstrom and am waiting. One thing I can say about the AGL’s, I have 6 pairs of them now. They are classic and don’t really change or go out of style. I had more in the past, but I gave away several pairs because the place where the cap attaches on the inside of the shoe was rubbing against my toe and causing blisters and just couldn’t break in no matter what I tried. I think it’s funny that you consider them a maximal shoe, when I consider them the shoe to wear when I want a minimal look. I love that they don’t slip off my feet. They have decent arch support. They can hold a small orthotic. They are tough and last a long time. My oldest pair is the all red pair. I think they are 10-11 years old. Next come the taupe pair. I don’t think they are my most stylish shoes, but I just added a new pair of red with a silver band. The silver will work well with my silvery grey hair, and I liked the brighter, lighter red tone compared with my older shoes. To be fair, the camel and brown pair has really a small wedge heel, so it may not be a true ballerina flat, but I included them because they are my favorites. I like the twisted band of leather on the cap.

I sympathise about fussy feet. You are very wise to only buy what is comfortable. I really love the ballet flats that you have selected and think the silver band and reptile makes them look much nicer than a plain black pump.

As for the tan shoes, they are great and will look really stylish with all sorts of colours, especially denim, navy and because they have black trim, I would have thought they would look great with black too.

Sometimes it is fun to be forced to try a new look or colour. I hope these are both workhorses for you.

Due to increasingly fussy feet I’ve had to offload some footwear and have had more trouble than expected finding substitutes. Shoes will look like they OUGHT to be comfortable but do not pass the test. In particular I’ve not found a loafer.
I’ve added these below and will see if that proves to have been a good decision.
The Robert Zur is s new brand to me and was first shown to me in more of a driving mic in store. That one was too unstructured though soft, and too loose. These came in narrow and gave a regular heel but are still very soft. However, they are brown! Not my usual color but I’m wearing with navy and black pants. The black stitching may skew casual, but works for me as a tie- in to the pant color. I kind of pretend “ Brown is the new burgundy ! ” of course the work with denim. For work I’m trying to keep the rest of the outfit more polished to offset the shoe.

Next are more of the trusty AGL’s. Not fashion - forward but comfortable and I actually sized up another half size in these and added insert. These are billed as “ pewter” but appear slightly more bronzy than that, and also skew olive.
My hesitation was that they are more “ fancy” with the mixture of reptile and the silver band, but I plunged in anyway. Price reductions as they went through sale pricing removed a bit of the sting. When I wore them to work, I felt a bit out of my comfort zone and so, reverse- similar to the other shoes, I used juxtaposition and kept the rest of outfit neutral/simple, no added jewelry. The elements that may be a bit “much” for work will be fine for other occasions plus I think I’ll get more used to it.
