Thursday's outfit is stunning! Your yellow bag is the finishing touch. Easter's outfit was very springy, but you were certainly brave to wear short sleeves in such weather!

I want to immediately run out and copy the outfit you wore on Thursday. It's perfect. The yellow bag and brooch on the necklace are inspired touches.

Angie, if you have other ideas about what to wear with the AT jacket, let me know. I always get the vague sense I could be doing something more with it, although this Thursday was better than usual.

And no teasing necessary! I use a big round brush to blow dry most of my hair, including the crown at the back, and kinda let the rest of the back air dry so it curls. The reality is that I have zero patience for blow-drying the back of my head because my arms are so short, so I like that this cut seems to work best natural and "bed-heady" in the back!

You look wonderful everyday my dear Shiny, but Thursday’s outfit is KILLER. I know that AT jacket (have a few clients running around in it and it’s absolutely beautiful – few seasons old I think).

Do you tease your hair to stand up like that at the back? I love it!

That banana bag photo (with actual fruit) leaves me absolutely stricken!! Thanks for making my day.

You look gorgeous despite the lack of showers (ugh). I like your longer 'do. The way your hair fall across your face reminds me of Jennifer Aniston.

Thursday is wonderful, as is Easter Sunday. We too are having a cold spring -- not even a tulip yet! -- but you look stunning and hopefully warm enough too!

LWC, it's Donald J Pliner. Not that I have any loyalty to that brand - I found it on ebags and it fit all my requirements: yellow, single strap, hobo, leather, not too much obvious hardware, and a certain size. I didn't want patent for this one, since I thought I was being daring enough going for yellow. Yellow + patent... too big a risk for me (but maybe one of these days!). The only thing it does not have are those little feet on the bottom, which I am finding are quite useful for keeping your bag clean.

This bag didn't look quite so banana yellow online on ebags. I was hoping for a more muted shade. But it is close match for bananas:
http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....orm358.jpg

... and my coffee-drinking bhudda buddy:
http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....orm359.jpg

In that second pic, you can see that there is a logo etched into the bag. I almost returned it based on that detail alone. I really hate obvious logos. But after consideration, I am figuring this one isn't that obvious. But buyer beware... since it doesn't indicate this anywhere in the ebag description.

It may not be 100% perfect, but I had searched high and low at brick-and-mortar stores nearby for a long time - including last spring- and hadn't found anything at all that came close. Most bags I see are much brighter - nearly neon, with too much other bling, or way too big, or with double shoulder straps that don't stay put.

Also FYI, since I'm only 5'0, the "medium" sized bags tend to look large on me. So for anyone taller, this bag may seem to small. There certainly are thousands of bags out there that are much too big for me. (My personal frustration).

I really like the black-white-denim with the pop of yellow.

Turquoise looks great on you too. And I love how you rock your cardigans, and thus "own" your look.

You may have already shared this, but what is the brand of your bag? I'm convinced of the versatility of the banana bag!

Shiny, love the outfits! I'm so glad you kept the yellow purse as it add so much to your outfits. I am tempted to go find one for myself! I like your Easter outfit. You were very brave, indeed, to wear short sleeves with that weather (even though you had an overcoat on outdoors). I never can warm up enough without my arms covered. You did look very springy!

All terrific looks as usual! I love the flower brooch on the necklace - it is such an elegant way to interpret the flower pin idea. You are making me want to get a banana bag too - it seems to go with everything!

Brrr, I was in NYC and it was a frigid 45 degrees yesterday. I wore a sari and high-heeled sandals and was freezing! My kids were doing their easter egg hunt in their winter jackets and I thought the wind was going to blow them away!

Oops - sorry - password is ylf2008.

Asha, the jacket isn't tweed. I don't know what you would call it. The grey round-toe shoes are Aerosole; they took some breaking in (higher heel than I normally wear) but now they are pretty comfortable. The turquoise sling backs are Highlights - they were inexpensive (bought years ago at DSW clearance) yet they are also surprisingly quite comfortable (heel is only about 1 inch).

Here's the whole album:
http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....-apr%2012/

I am really busy at work this month, so I did not get out of gear (much less the house!) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Also it did not help that we had water problems meaning no shower for a few days. Ugh. Rough week. :-(

Thursday: inspired by Angie's floral pin post, the photo where she attached the pin to her necklace. I didn't have a floral pin, so I attached a favorite brooch to my pearl necklace instead. Also this is one of my favorite spring jackets (AT).
http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....orm372.jpg

Friday: We attended the Iron Pour with my friend Jane. This event is always fun but quite the wardrobe challenge. You want to wear machine-washable clothes, particularly your coat, because all the fire and smoke can stick to your dry-clean clothes forever. Plus, there's always the chance an ember will land on you and singe your good clothes. And the event requires flat shoes because it is held in a muddy quad. Oh yes, and it was raining a bit. And cold!
Pic with coat (Anthropologie machine-washable jacket):
http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....orm373.jpg

Without coat: similar outfit to one I've worn before (shown here http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....mar_21.jpg), but swapped out the nice silk blouse for a machine-washable cotton Jcrew tunic:
http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....orm375.jpg

I think I like it better with the silk top but what can you do... I wasn't about to risk it getting ruined.

Saturday: I didn't have time to take a pic, but I wore something similar to what you saw before - a version of this but with a simple black BR knit top and the yellow purse:
http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....dscarf.jpg

Easter sunday: it was soooo cold (low 40s with a high wind) I opted for jeans instead of a skirt or dress. Why is easter always so cold? I did bring out my short-sleeve white jacket and braved the cold with my turquoise sling-backs. I wore my cobalt Jcrew wool coat over top this when outdoors, which was just about right. That coat has a turquoise lining, so I felt just a bit too matchy-matchy.
http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....orm375.jpg

Easter was quite lovely - my SIL knocked herself out. The food was amazing. She may show up on YLF... she is quite the fashionista herself, and was intrigued by the concept.
