Shiny, I think it's alright with the shorts, but as you said it'll be even better with full length pants or maybe uncuffed shorts. I actually don't think that the issue is the 3/4 sleeves combined with shorts, but the diagonal hem of the top clashing a teensy bit with the horizontal line created by the cuff of the shorts. Without the cuff you probably wouldn't have that funny feeling. Does that make sense? I was impressed she noticed such details. She said, "Hmm, that style would work good on me" and she's right, since we are built very similarly. </p> <p>My DD15 kindly took the photo after a verrrryyyy long day of work, errands, and shuttling kids here and there... and also spending half the day starving because I missed lunch! Be very glad I blanked out my face - because by end of day I looked positively haggard and run-down and 10 years older. :-(</p> <p>I do like the new top - I usually steer clear of pink because I'm so short I don't want to look too cutesy. But I think the top has enough "edge" to get away with the pink. I think however it will look much better with long jeans. I couldn't shake this weird feeling all day that there's something wrong, wearing elbow length sleeves with knee length pants... like my clothing has shrunken??? </p>
