Sorry Shell, I misunderstood your question. I re-read and see that you already have shoes for the construction site.
I think wellies or the plaid slip on's that Dani suggested are really cute.

Thank you for all your suggestions, ladies! I think I could be a little more lax on my req'ts. :)

The shoes wouldn't be for the construction site necessarily - I have those ones already. I'm looking more for a shoes that I can walk around in when there's snow on the ground. Guess I'll just keep my eyes peeled around here in the snowy seasons and see what everyone else is wearing.

In the meantime, I think I'm going to try out these hot pink wellies from Target: http://www.target.com/Womens-Z.....038;page=1. They're cheap and hopefully waterproof!

I appreciate all your suggestions! I quite like Dani's suggestion of the plaid slip-ons. If these hot pink ones don't work, I'll give them a bash. Thanks again for helping me find some shoes that actually fit my req'ts!

Shell, are you going to be wearing these out onto the construction site? I bet it is pretty darn cold working outside in Wisconsin in the winter. When I worked out in the construction field here in Washington, we had a dress code for the types of clothing to be worn on the site. Safety boots that were at least above the ankle, hard hats, and such. We wore gortex lined boots and anything else gortex lined to keep as warm and dry as possible. Danner is a good brand for work boots. The matter was safety and comfort. I am not sure how you work style into this. Maybe you are going to be working mainly in the office? What I've seen of construction offices is that they are very dirty so keep that in mind.
Good luck in you search and let us know what you come up with. I'm sure whatever you choose, your personality will shine through while you are doing a great job.

Personally I'm not so fond of clogs, but I understand the need to keep your feet dry and warm during the Winter period.

How about something like the Spiral (model 20843-002) on the Camper site. I can't link to it directly, but just go to the online shop, Women's shoes, it's on page 9.

Or an 'ankle' boot? I know you said no boots, but these are just a bit 'higher' than booties and I find they can keep your feet warmer than other shoes when it's really cold.

Camper has a few of these as well, e.g.
- the Senda, model 46107-002, page 9
- the Spiral, model 46097-002, page 9
- the Peu, model 46029-006, page 8

Are Dansko clogs an option? I had the Professional which is a clog with a back. They are super comfy and now they come in cool colors, patent and print. I love this leopard version.

Boy, you really have some tough requirements!

Here are some cute ankle boots:
http://zeta.zappos.com/product/7343539/color/5852

Not sure, but they look warm:
http://zeta.zappos.com/product.....lor/152379

Kind of plain:
http://zeta.zappos.com/product/7334853/color/106

Shell - I love the idea of you in your bright colors and statement necklace wearing work boots at a construction site!

Have you though about an ankle boot? That would give you the coverage you want without the things you don't like. They all seem to be black.
http://www.onlineshoes.com/pro.....pcid=97258
http://www.onlineshoes.com/pro.....pcid=86401
http://www.onlineshoes.com/pro.....pcid=64119

Here's another option that's a shoe:
http://www.onlineshoes.com/pro.....pcid=64120

Here are waterproof Mary Janes!
http://www.onlineshoes.com/pro.....cid=120460

And another Teva shoe -- I have something similar by Teva but not as stylish; I can walk for hours in them.
http://www.onlineshoes.com/pro.....cid=122572

So, here is my issue...I literally have zero shoes for proper winter weather in Wisconsin. I've gotten by the last few years with these shoes - http://www.shoebuy.com/dr-mart.....one-_-none. they are definitely keepers b/c i wear them when on a construction site, so don't tell me to toss them. but im just trying to find an adequate shoe for walking around in the rain and snow.

i was thinking of possibly buying some wellies for the rain, like these: http://www.funky-wellington-bo.....es-300.jpg My issue though is that I would have to take them on and off frequently when at school or work. not that that would be so difficult, but it would be nice to just have one shoe on all day. also, wellies wouldn't be great for the snowy weather.

here are my req'ts for a proper shoe for winter:
-waterproof (so no mesh/fabric/suede)
-no heels (i'd be way to paranoid of slipping on the ice)
-no boots (these just aren't my style, i guess. too high-maintenance to put on and potentially too warm for being inside)
-full-coverage (so no ballet flats or any shoe w/ low vamp)

So, does this limit my options to this: http://www.clogsonline.com/id-.....326298.JPG ??
