I’ve always admired his pieces but never bought anything. Times are so tough everywhere. Sad. Firecracker - I’ve actually been looking for something like that for years. EF, in her fisher project years, had her people models her clothes and giving styling suggestions. One girl actually had this long silk embroidered dress overlay. Really unusual and stunning. But it wasn’t for sale. I reached out to the company. It was actually an Allsaints piece that I never could find. But I liked the idea. It’s certainly not my typical but something about it feels very right. Bijou - I could really see you in the white version! You do elegant, ladylike drama so well!! But I’m pretty sure I’ll keep it because I doubt I’ll ever find something like it again. There’s kind of a warning light going off that this is perfect for something, but I’m not exactly sure what! lol if that makes any sense. The tops are already in rotation and I can tell they will be workhorses. I love how the cami pops the pattern. I would also wear mine with a black cami, white jeans, black boots and a black embellished belt. Plus a black blazer if cool enough. Plus a black bag. Ladypainter - yes, I love juxtaposition.  A very structured silhouette but with that sunflower crochet and put with very formal work wear.  That's where the fun is for me! Jenny - Pact makes lovely sustainable cotton cami's with just enough elastine to hold their shape.  There is a shelf bra incorporated.  I don't need a bra for support, just modesty so I love the comfort and coverage.  But the fact that it's only one piece, well layering the lace top works perfectly.  If I needed a bra plus camisole plus another layer if might feel too heavy.  I don't know if they distribute pact by you but they are lovely against the skin and wash like iron!! The dress looks gorgeous, too.  gryffin on "Sheer" https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/sheer#post-2365020 Fri, 12 Jul 2024 18:47:56 +0000 gryffin 2365020@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ Just adding to Angie's blog post this am with an additional recommendation.  I wear mostly monochromatic black/gray/navy with a very little white.  So I rely on texture and interest.  I bought the ted baker katrynn tops in both black and white.  These are heavy cotton crochet, very nicely made, substantial, exposed zips back and they come with a little matching cami (which I don't use).  I wear a pact shelf camisole almost everyday.  In this heat a top that is dressy for work but cool and versatile is a total hewi.  I wear the white over a black cami and bottom but I have a white and gray camisoles that I can also wear.  I love that I can take my blazer off and still look polished.  Highly recommended if you can find your size.  I am a size 4 and took a TB size 2 (which is a 6 according to them because I waanted it to hang like on the model with some movement). Layers beautifully.  A total wild card was purchaseing the TB Cohra dress.  Same crochet long midi, just about ankles on 5'3" me.  I actually tried it on over my sports bra and leggings yesterday and wow, super cute.  it come with a short slip and bandeau (I would never wear it like that and bought it knowing that.  Complaints on the dress are all inre of this, not the dress itself.  Ofc that's why it's marked down now.)  I have an EF long tank dress which layers perfectly<a rel="nofollow" href="https://www.eileenfisher.com/system-viscose-jersey-tank-dress/190428270465.html?intlrds=true&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwqMO0BhA8EiwAFTLgIIZpO5NtwJ2nqdO58dI7xRKd8P0y8NMD1Aoqhq5_SpETd0_dJ7vRphoCQbEQAvD_BwE#urlfix=true">https://www.eileenfisher.com/s.....e&gad</a>  Similar.  Ofc you could do a skims or commando or silk long slip.  I also have an silk EF tank dress to layer.  I have no idea if this is a huge mistake for an imaginary lifestyle...but it would be awesome pool to dinner, gym to dinner could dress up or down depending on the underlayers.  I have so many ways I could style it but it's a reach for me.  But this could absolutely go dressy, cocktail with the right accessories or casual, I don't have anything that could swing in this way.  Fits perfectly so I am strongly consider taking a flyer on it at the sale price.  But I have been on a hewi hunt for years for elegant layering tops and I highly recommend these especially at the sale price.  My pre-NAS purchases!
