The waistband was the one tight area, and it didn't seem to me that there was a lot of give in its fabric, though the rest of the pants seemed stretchy enough. I didn't think the waist would stretch much, if at all. I remember Berlin in those days, first spent time here summer of 91 (or was it 92? so long ago!) but anyway, the difference between East and West was so stark! Even in 95-98, it was much clearer than here. But do you remember what a mess East Berlin was just past Unter den Linden? Friedrichstrasse was completely torn up. If you visit, you will be amazed at the transformation--shopping galore on that street! Ku'damm and nearby Tautzienstrasse are still big shopping streets, and there are malls at Alexanderplatz and Potsdamer Platz (which was ONLY a construction site the whole time I lived here). But I'm starting to find smaller boutiques, which is where I hope to eventually do my shopping--boutiques, markets, and second hand shops. I have a folder that I've named "Stalking" in which I store all of these types of bookmarks. Then I can easily access the pages once a day to check the price.
