The skirt is actually shorter than it looks in the picture - I wrote it with boots that are fitted at the ankle, to give the outfit a little more structure (a tip I learned from you, Angie - and it makes a big difference!) You just can't see it in the photo because of the angle. </p> <p>@Jaime you made me laugh out loud - it was like we were meeting for brunch and squealing over each other's outfits statement jacket is from Anthropologie, believe it or not. I saw it a couple of years ago in the shop window and just had to have it. The textures are wonderful together and the skirt is quite narrow and provides structure. It's a lot of shirt, and the bright pink is not normally a computer I wear, so I took a page from Angie's tip book and went with a column of black to balance out out for the first outing. Next time I might be more adventurous and pair of with olive cargos and combat boots.</p> <p>What do you think? Does this work? It's a lot of shirt and I know the cropped shape cuts me horizontally - but honestly, some days I care not a jot about figure flattery and just want to have fun! </p> <p>Also including some more paired down recent outfits - statement jacket and cardigan old retail, both pants thrifted. </p>
