It's frustrating that the colleges have become such hot spots, because it didn't have to be that way. &nbsp;I'll admit, I have really mixed feelings about my son having all remote classes. &nbsp;On the one hand, I'm happy to see so much of him at an age where I didn't expect it. &nbsp;On the other, I'm sad for him missing out on years of his college experience.</p> <p>These new items are quite a bit darker than the russet in real life, but that's okay. I'm hoping to pack up my summer linen soon. &nbsp;Even if it's still quite warm, I've learned from your "hot autumn" capsule that sometimes you just need a change.</p> <p><b>Angie, </b>Seattle and LA are following similar paths, aren't they...lots of boards here too...many still up even though protests have cooled some. The "everything outside" guidelines will be easier here going into winter, though. The marker of some level of normalcy for me will be when Disneyland opens again and feels safe. We had a restaurant gift certificate to use and had a unique experience being carded to see if we were between 18 and 22! That aged group is really on lock down now due to college students getting the corona virus because they are not isolating. The unI ersity has run out of isolation rooms and moved kids from at least one dorm to use its rooms as isolation spaces. I hear you on nowhere to go. Even our deck is off limits as wildfire smoke is awful and leaving lots of ash behind. A friend lost her mountain retreat to the Northern fire near Red Feather Lake and she worked so hard to be able to buy it.<br /> Do your new rust pieces go with the EF russet pieces you got last year? I found a Madewell pleated top at the Rack. Unfortunately, it is polyester. Maybe it will get some wear when it gets cooler. Things like retail stores are open, but with restrictions and 25% capacity. It's not conducive to casual shopping. I went to a bookstore to pick up an academic-year planner for my son and they were monitoring the door with a staff member making tally marks on a clipboard, squirted hand sanitizer on my hands as I entered, and politely asked me to not stay inside longer than 10-15 minutes. Indoor malls are still completely closed, but will open at 25% next week...sort of...the food courts and common areas will still be closed. Restaurants can offer takeout and outdoor dining, but nothing indoors. Bars and gyms, theaters (live and movie), museums, entertainment centers, theme parks, etc are all completely closed.
