I feel like I'm always sliding along this continuum between softer bohemian and more gritty urban and maybe just have to keep my closet balanced to account for that. suntiger, I think they started it when Coco came out. Sal, I'm glad to have the wiggle room, as things are definitely wearing out. In a perfect world, I'd have already replaced some of the items showing the most wear, but not having a stable address for a few months, plus all the stress of the move put that on the back burner. rachylou, it's the best on weekend mornings! Dreika, I only wish I were a true minimalist.  Believe me, I have PLENTY of stuff. Sterling, you are so kind. I actually kind of feel like I've made some mistakes in there. I mean, there's something in the Disney air that makes you purchase things you don't need, and an employee discount makes it even more tempting. On the other hand, it's kind of nice to have a dedicated capsule for park trips and casual company events.  Thanks, Style Fan! It really helps to have all my annual purchases in Finds, because I can see them all together. bonnie, I've developed a sort of graphic tee uniform for theme park trips. In the summer it's been a tee with a midi or maxi skirt and sneakers.  For winter, it will probably be one with jeans, booties, and a long cardigan. We go to Disneyland once every week or two, usually only for a few hours at a time. The only item I bought this month was a t-shirt for my theme park capsule and, really, my husband bought it to cheer me up when I was having a bad day. I don't usually purchase "seasonal" items like this tee, but I've already worn it several times, and am making a point to wear it as often as possible while it's still in-season.  I also already ordered a new blouse for fall, but it hasn't yet arrived, so it will count towards October if I decide to keep it. I have quite a few things on my "to buy for winter" list, so next month might be bigger than the past few. Here's the boilerplate: In our yearlong shopping challenge, I committed to buying 31 or fewer items (not counting undergarments). January - 0 items February - 5 items March - 2 items April - 2 items May - 4 items June - 1 item July - 2 items August - 0 items September - 1 item This brings my total purchases for the year to 17 purchases, still plenty of room to to an end-of-year refresh! I've retired 24 items this year, so my wardrobe is shrinking. All in all, I have 112 items total in my closet, if I count all categories except jewelry, underwear and sleepwear (though I am counting sleep/lounge in my 31 purchases and my retirements.)
