&#060;p&#062;Shevia, that is a great idea and I am totally in for that; actually, I've been working on that last year too - I am definitely a serial lipstick and facial potion buyer, but DH has been buying me these wonderful gift sets at Christmas, so now I create a little 'shop' for myself and anytime I need a pick-me-up makeup-wise, I grab a few different lipsticks from the collection and Bob's your uncle. Last year too I really worked on using all the masks and creams and things ... what was I saving them for?&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Jenni, DD loves exploring my makeup collection for things I might not use  <span aria-hidden="true" class="emoticon emoticon-biggrin icon-emoticon-biggrin "></span>  It's great - why waste it when it can be enjoyed?

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Great reminder. I would like to establish better routines for self-care. Need more sleep, exercise, water, fresh fruit, etc. Sometimes I get so busy helping others that I have too little time left for taking care of my own needs. I actually need to prioritise them more.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;In January, when indoor air is extremely dry where I live, there will be an extra need for applying skin masks, hair masks, body creams, hand creams, etc.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Style Fan and others, vitamin-B complex + multi-vitamins&#038;amp;minerals supplements has proved to be excellent for strengthening my nails. (Also really great for hair, skin, and much more.) Clear nail polish has been useful, too.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I am with Shevia there but she said it better. I am not a skincare person,I mostly use soap and water on my face. We bought some good Neutrogena facial sunblock for my walks and DH’s runs/cycling, other than that I have stacks of skincare products that I either get given or that turn up as samples at Fashion Weekend shows once a year. I find it really difficult to use them up! I forget if it is stuff like facial masks. I do buy my own lipsticks but not too many at a time, have about 8.&#060;br /&#062;
I used to use up sister’s castoffs of some stuff but now it’s daughter’s. The more things change...

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Big yes from me! I added a moisturizer and oil (instead of powder) based foundation, plus playing with my magpie makeup (though subtle on me). I want to focus on drinking more water, eating less processed foods, and exercize. Sometimes I paint my nails, which I decided is a easy jewelry substitute (for the 2 days before they chip...). My hair, meh...it just needs to grow a foot or 2 and be done with it!

&#060;li&#062;Diet: I've been stuffing my face with endless sweets since Thanksgiving. I am due for my annual physical and labs in a few months and I don't want my doc to yell at me :D&#038;nbsp; I need to up my water intake and I want to look into IF to help reduce inflammation.&#060;/li&#062;
&#060;li&#062;Exercise: I stopped working out when I injured my knee. That was a year ago... oops :D&#038;nbsp; I need to get off my butt and get moving.&#060;/li&#062;
&#060;li&#062;Beauty:&#038;nbsp; Now that I am wearing my glasses more, I find my makeup needs some work. I have plenty of makeup so I won't be buying more, but my application needs some major improvement.&#038;nbsp; And, my hands are always a ragged crepey mess in the winter, so I should find a routine way to keep them looking and feeling nice.&#060;/li&#062;

Most of us do a better job of recharging our phones than keeping ourselves recharged.&#038;nbsp; For myself, I am prioritizing getting sufficient rest as well as time outdoors for long hikes/walks, preferably surrounded by lots of trees...forest bathing, which has documented mental and physical benefits.&#038;nbsp; Of course, my yoga and Pilates practice are key to my year round self-care.&#038;nbsp; DH and I are focusing on eating an even more plant-based diet in 2020. TG, I may follow your lead on a dry January too.&#060;br /&#062;&#038;nbsp;&#060;br /&#062;I'm having a full color and haircut this afternoon. My stylist and I are looking at something with a little more edge for the haircut. Stay tuned.&#038;nbsp; Also, I have been fortunate to find a wonderful and affordable esthetician who I see for facials and eyebrow/eyelash care on a regular basis.&#038;nbsp; My style goal/statement/mission phrase for 2020 is carefree chic. &#060;p&#062;Was thinking about a style focus for January, and &#060;a rel=&#034;nofollow&#034; href=&#034;https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/anyone-up-for-a-syc-challenge-in-january&#034;&#062;Nemosmom's post &#060;/a&#062;about an SYC challenge for the month dovetails brilliantly with what I was mulling over.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Of course, so much of what keeps us looking and feeling great relates to self-care - hair, skin, grooming, etc. - and happily these are also great things to focus on when not shopping! A few things I'll be focusing on for January:
&#060;ul&#062;
&#060;li&#062;DH stocks me up on a million Clinique skincare lotions and potions; I'll be experimenting with these to see what's working for my skin these days and what I might add to my usual routine (as well as playing with all the lipstick colours that came in a gift set!)&#060;/li&#062;
&#060;li&#062;January's dry, gray days take a toll on my skin, so I'll be focusing on frequent moisturizing, and getting back in the habit of weekly (as a goal, at least) proper mani/pedi (usually at home, occasionally at a nail shop), hair deep conditioning, deep facial moisturizing, etc.&#038;nbsp;&#060;/li&#062;
&#060;li&#062;It so happens I'm due for a full colour and hair cut, so that works well for this theme!&#060;/li&#062;
&#060;li&#062;Of course, after sweets and treats, healthy eating needs a reboot in January, which for me looks like focusing on eating more plants and drinking tons of water. I'm not a big drinker anyway but always do Dry January too, just to start the year off on a disciplined note. Stylewise this helps ensure my clothes actually fit :D&#060;/li&#062;
&#060;li&#062;Due to a back injury, I changed up my weights-heavy fitness routine to include more restorative things like yoga and Pilates, and fun things like Zumba. Will keep this up for January.&#060;/li&#062;
&#060;li&#062;&#060;i&#062;And of course - having fun with my wardrobe, shopping my closet, and milking my style!&#060;/i&#062;&#060;/li&#062;
&#060;/ul&#062;
