If you'll be near Old Town Alexandria, there are small boutiques and consignment shopping if that's what you are looking for. We're going to do some day trips from VB when we're not&nbsp;hanging around the beach. </p> <p>I am doing the usual online searches for shopping destinations and other things to do, but would<i><b> love to hear of any favorite shops&nbsp;you may have in either Alexandria or Virginia Beach.&nbsp; </b></i></p> <p>Of course this all assumes Hurricane Florence&nbsp;doesn't do any serious damage to that area when it strikes land tomorrow AM.&nbsp;&nbsp;It's supposed to hit&nbsp;the Carolinas and not hit VA directly,&nbsp;but it's a truly monster storm by all measurements so it seems damage in VA is a possibility. I'm crossing fingers first of all for all the residents of the Carolinas, and secondarily for my own selfish wishes that our trip goes ahead. </p>
