How about the boho tops that Angie posted with her post about wearing them with shorts? They usually have wide scoop necklines and come in easy care fabrics. To keep from looking sloppy, you might look for sleeves set in at the shoulder, not over the shoulder.

I've usually had pretty good luck finding those kinds of tops, with those necklines, at Old Navy.

What about the alder tee from Aritzia? I have a couple and the neck's not too low, even though the body is flowy.

Juniper, I do the same with long necklaces when I just absolutely adore a garment even though the neckline doesn't work for me. However, I find it doesn't give quite the same effect as the same stretch of skin.

I realize seeing my title that my "easy" might not translate for everyone. I guess in my mind it is the perfect combo of non-fussy and flattering. It doesn't necessarily mean casual, instead it's closer to the overused "effortless". Clear as mud, no?

I guess the one style I can definitely rule out would be fitted tshirts. The combo of belly cling and a jeans waistband are just horrendous on me.

When you say "easy" top - are you referring to machine washable? Looser fits?

I think this boden top might have been in one of Angie's roundups recently... it doesn't have the neckline you're referencing but browsing their site it seems like they might offer some good options.

A little off-topic and not what you asked, but regarding the necklines you mentioned - I sometimes try to emulate the effect of those necklines with long pendant necklaces that create long lines, and draping scarves just so to also create that loose v shape.

These are the exact kinds of tops I always look for, as well. Sadly, my go-tos were impulse Target buys a few years ago, and no longer available.

As I was shopping NAS, I kept redirecting myself away from the jeans. I'm not a super frequent jeans wearer, but I have several pairs in my wardrobe right now that I'm very happy with. I realized as I was ogling the jeans that I don't need jeans, but what I probably do need are tops that go well with jeans.

Wide scoop or vnecks tend to be my best, and I feel like those necklines are getting harder to come by every year. I think those necklines are especially hard to find in less form fitting styles because a flowy body and big neckline goes to full sloppy pretty quickly.

Anyone have a top you love that would suit these needs?

eta: I added a find of my current go to jeans top. It's flowy, but not as oversized on me as on the model. I quite like it, but need variety of some sort beyond color variations.
