They could also work with my long white linen button down covering my bottom if I step off the beach. I go on a beach vacation every year so they’re good to have even beyond this trip. Not too much space for adding another light color (which I do want, to beat the heat), but chambray is a good option since it's a kind of jean-colored neutral. I am off grey a bit but would be willing to add a pair of light grey pants for this purpose, since I am less opposed to wearing it on the bottom. I do NOT like earth tones except for olive, and so my pants colors tend to be limited to the neutrals I already own.
