I ended up with a "shopper" style rather than a "satchel".&nbsp; Thanks to <b>Suz</b> for helping me understand the difference. </p> <p>Everything about this bag is just right for me. The <b>Style</b> is simple, classic, polished as opposed to&nbsp;casual, with gold hardware including one extra piece I can remove, and a top&nbsp;closing zipper. The <b>color </b>is "cream”&nbsp;which is a slightly warm white but definitely white. The&nbsp;<b>size</b> is just&nbsp;right, a bit smaller than most totes which is good for me since I don’t need to&nbsp;carry a laptop. It’s around 11”x9”x4”, with&nbsp;long handles so I can wear it over my&nbsp;shoulder. The <b>brand</b> is Ralph Lauren and it’s leather, well made.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>And....even though I probably would have paid full price for&nbsp;it,<b> it was 50% off (and still is&nbsp;).&nbsp;&nbsp;</b>&nbsp;I then used&nbsp;my Macy’s credit card for an additional discount, then&nbsp;added&nbsp;some Macys' gift cards&nbsp;(which I use to redeem points from DH's business travel credit card). It ended up&nbsp;costing me about $5.!!! </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><b><i>Find #1 is the winner! Ralph Lauren Bennington Shopper/Tote.</i></b><i> (the label on the Macy's find says "tote", the&nbsp;price tag&nbsp;on the bag says "shopper". )</i><b><i></i></b></p> <p>Find #2 is the runner up; a Fossil Tote I found at TJMAxx that was a serious contender but&nbsp;a little more casual than I wanted. You could probably find one in solid ivory on ebay. I like the two tone because I wear a lot of black. It's not a huge bag which is good for me but it's roomy enough to carry everything I need. I can even squeeze my laptop in there if necessary (but tend not to). But it fits my wallet, keys, phone, small pouch for makeup, Kindle or book, a water bottle (if I want), sunglasses, a nylon shopping bag.&nbsp;</p> <p>I took off the horsey hardware since that is not my thing.
