Thanks for the great suggestions! I have ordered two pairs of Gap and one from Banana - these are on sale and I'm going to dip my toe in the water before going premium. Thanks for the help!

I love those options already noted!

My advice: beware the rips over the knees. That's where the extra stress of your personal wear and tear shortens the life of the jeans

Gap's Sexy Boyfriend jeans, if you take them a size or two smaller than your usual size, function like slightly relaxed, mid-rise skinnies, and they are very lightly scuffed in a few places. If you wash & wear them a lot, the scuffs will develop into a more distressed look. They are all cotton, and I find them very easy to wear. Gap's Resolution Slim Straight jeans are stretchy, and come in regular or "distructed" finish.

On the expensive end but I love: Emerson Fry Mick jeans (the distressing is not super apparent in web photos) http://www.emersonfry.com/mick-3-chalk

Also, some Frame Garçon jeans come in distressed washes.

I showed you white, but both come in other colors.

I have these ones and really like them. They are comfortable and don't stretch out. They are slim fitting without feeling tight.

May I please have recommendations for (mildly) distressed jeans? Looking for something a little shredded without actual holes, mid-rise, skinny without being legging-tight skinny, under $200. Thanks for your help.
