This dress has been in two closets and wears as hard as iron. If we are wearing it for a decade (or more) and it still looks good, that's some kind of miracle!&nbsp;</p> <p>It's also really easily washable.&nbsp;</p> <p>Gunn and Cornish (the female designers) really work hard to get their fabrics right. I truly admire this company's standards and approach. The aesthetic doesn't always work for me, but it works often enough that &nbsp; it's always worth a look, and when I do purchase, I'm never sorry. Workhorse items one and all. The ones I currently own in addition to this dress, below. Just a regular blend - and a very good one! I wear these blends all the time. 18% polyester remixed with natural fibres creates far fewer crinkles, and strengthens the fabric. Makes it last. That was one reason I decided to get the flippy skirt.<br /> Also your dress re- emphasizes what I have honed in on as the benefits of a woven fabric- rather than the ubiquitous jersey knots— as they are more forgiving and glide rather than cling. That was one of the appeals of the Sweaty Betty racer back dress and buyers claymores for more colors. A charcoal like yours is better for me also. I am often drawn to them because I feel like they look better with a jacket than a high neckline because of the exposed skin. You could try filling it in with a chunkier, shorter style necklace or pendant. That’s what I do. That may not be your style of course. This is why tech fabrics sometimes make sense for me, ha! :)&nbsp;</p> <p>The neckline is technically (haha) too wide for perfect flattery for me and not my preferred narrower V, but I often wear with a scarf on cooler days.
