I don't have personal shoppers or boat loads on fun money. You're looking at a wardrobe built over a period of years. I started watching What Not To Wear in college and reading YLF and other style advice blogs nearly 5 years ago. Over time I've picked up ideas and slowly started putting them into practice. </p> <p>I learned to stop bashing my body when clothes didn't fit properly, and I learned which items looked best with my particular shape and coloring-and how to bend the rules when I wanted to. I learned to emphasize quality over quantity and am still trying to avoid "making do" with mediocre items just because they are inexpensive and on sale. I still have a heck of a lot to learn! </p> <p>My wardrobe at the time that I started posting on YLF was very different-lots of knit tops, few dresses, pants that didn't always fit well, uncomfortable shoes. I didn't end up with this wardrobe overnight and have truly added one piece at a time based on what felt right.
