I personally do not like that Justin Timberlake's items have that big ole check mark on everything. I can live without that.
Gwen Stefani's pieces are very good looking but there have been fit issues with the jackets. I own one. I fell for the beauty but I don't feel happy wearing it.
The Olsen's have a peculiar look to how they present themselves to the world, but I don't know anything about the pieces they sell under their brands.
This article also mentioned that Nordstrom's had flirted with carrying the line by Pete Wentz but did not bring it back this year. I have not seen anything from that line.
I honestly turn the other way when I see Jessica Simpson's name on something. I don't hate her or anything, so I can't explain why I am put off by her styles. Maybe just not my thing.

I agree with Maya that the celeb names can be as much of a negative as a positive. Interesting about Justin Timberlake vs. Gwen Stefani, though!

It just amazes me that every celeb has jumped on the "designer" bandwagon. Honestly they are peddling everything from clothing, jewlery, perfume to household goods,....I don't know how involved they all are in the design process.

I don't know anything about this article, but ironically, I find that attaching a celebrity name to a clothing line does more to repel me than anything else, mostly because so many of them look atrocious themselves. Gwen Stefani is exceptional since she actually dresses well, and I would wear Penelope Cruz's line in a heartbeat...but I have to admit I find wearing Jessica Simpson or MK&A embarrassing. I am consoled by the fact that Jessica Simpson's line is actually just BCBG in disguise (I think). I'm not saying I wouldn't wear a fabulous piece just because of the celebrity association, but I might have to remove any visible markings or signs so no one would know :p

It's so funny isn't it. A lot of these celebrities would probably look a thousand times better if they wore their own lines...

Maybe some of you saw the article today in the Sunday paper titled 'Must-have looks are in the stars', concerning fashion lines that the stars are affiliated with. You can look at it online if you are interested.
A couple of things I thought were interesting, The Olsen twins have an upscale line called 'Row', and a moderately priced line called 'Elizabeth and James'. Interesting since I thought 'Elizabeth and James' was an upscale line. Everything is relavent!
Also in the article, Nordstrom's executive vice president and general merchandise manager, Loretta Soffe, says Justin Timberlae's line does well, but Gwen Stefani's is inconsistent. I have found that to be true with some things made by LAMB. Boy that Gwen Stafani sure does look great personaly though, don't you think?
