I'm a big fan of the statement necklace + plaid shirt combo. I think it helps move the plaid away from its inherent masculine lumberjackness. The bag and boots are great, too. The tone of the photo was too cool for me during the hot temps at the end of last week, but we had a cool fall day yesterday so I decided to give it a shot.</p> <p>Pretty much everything here is part of my fall refresh capsule. I grabbed this plaid cotton shirt from Loft because of how the geometric pattern gave it variations in color. I paired it with my dark Paige jeans and added my new burgundy Steve Madden booties. A lighter shoe would probably have better echoed the photo, but it was a little too chilly for most of my summer shoes in the morning, and this seemed more seasonally appropriate. I added my trusty cobalt bag and a statement necklace and headed out to meet friends for brunch. </p> <p>What do you think? Also, I've been rekindling my love of statement jewelry lately. The second pic just shows the details of it better. Is the necklace too much? </p>
