Sneakers have been summer wear for me, but because of various foot problems, I am still wearing them now. I scraped ice off my windshield this morning, so winterizing them for warmth is going to be an issue…

I know you said you weren’t including high tops, but my favorite winter sneakers are high tops so I’m going to include them.
For me when it’s sock weather I don’t wear my fashion sneakers, so temps below 50F/10C are reserved for boots or the 2 sneakers below.

I wear the echo high tops both as fashion and as function sneakers. The all birds are function only sneakers.

I have sneakers for different seasons.
My OCs make my feet feel too cold right now, they will have to be late Spring an Summer sneakers. They are fabric and supposed to be running shoes. My Brooks are also fabric, are comfortable in every season and do not freeze my toes.
I also have suede fashion sneakers that are good for now but too warm in Summer.

I have several pairs of sneakers - Adidas campus in navy, Stan Smith in white, Jack Purcell in olive. For me, these are summer shoes. If I had high tops I’d wear them in winter. But my feet and ankles really get cold. So in winter I wear boots, mostly booties, or clogs with warm socks.

When we went to San Diego in October, I took the navy sneakers. They were my travel shoes. For birding in an inland deserty park I wore my Salomon hiking shoes. The rest of the time I wore sandals, either navy Naots for “dressy” or Tevas for the rest of the time. But for walking on the beach, nothing at all!

Hmm, well my climate is less extreme and warmer than yours so there is really no need to separate. I am not a huge sneaker person (yet?) but over time have amassed a collection. I especially wear them to temper down dressier items (apropos Angie's post), and only in dry weather.

Oh I definitely have seasonal sneaker collections ! Anything with a knit upper gets packed away after September and pulled out again in April . Same with canvas Vans and Cons . High tops are fall/ winter , as are any dark leathers . I do actually wear my white leather pairs in winter as they work well with my work uniform . I’m sitting on my hands trying NOT to buy a pair of offwhite NB’s this winter ;). I’ve edited out any metallics now - not the look I want anymore .

I wear most of my sneakers year round but the high tops are winter only, the Converse are at home sneakers, and the last five are worn year round. I have denim jackets and tops to match the mustard, pale blue, and pink sneakers.

I don't remember trying Allbirds yet. Something to think about for warmer weather.

Right now I'm limited to sneakers or slip on sneakers. I wear them year round. Disappointed in the Adidas and Nikes I bought on NAS. Not very comfortable or supportive. Seem cheap, which they were. Especially disappointed in the Adidas. They used to be my best sneakers.

Last year I tried OrthoFeet and they work well enough, but look huge on my size 11 feet. Eccos and New Balance are my summer/winter shoes.

You remind me I need to get out my two pairs of boots. Hope I can still wear the more refined Taryn Rose.

All my sneakers are leather. No canvas:

Fleece lined hi-tops - Winter. #1, #2 and #3 (#3 demoted to Winter beach runs with the doggies only). VERY warm sneakers!!!

Hi-tops sans fleece lining - Spring and Autumn

Low Tops - Spring and Summer

I don't but my climate is warmer than yours I suspect.

I rarely wear sneakers in summer except for exercising.

My collection aside from runners is below.

- Black rollies - mostly autumn/winter and spring. The platform is helpful for not getting soggy feet.
- White platform sneakers - mostly spring, summer and autumn - but mostly not high summer. I don't wear these with socks so that means they don't work in the coldest months.
- Veja, these get worn all year but not on rainy days. T
- Black and white Diadora - autumn, winter and spring - as they are leather they are too hot in summer.
- Allbirds - if I do need a summer sneaker these are the best as they are bamboo and breathable. On their last legs but holding on to them and will probably wear tomorrow for an athletics event where I am on my feet all day in the sun.

Aside from the black rollies not working as well visually in summer, the seasonality is more about the practical aspects of the shoes.

Absolutely I do! I only wear canvas in the summer (although I love how RunCarla works her Converse into year-round looks, but my feet just get wet and cold!) and I have more warm high tops for winter, even a pair of shearling-lined ones. Low-top leather Adidas are the closest I come to year-round but they are impractical in the weather extremes, whether it's super-hot days or super snowy/wet ones.

I do for a couple of pairs but have found most will cross over.
I have been looking a bit for a “ brown” sneaker for fall/ winter but need cool brown, but wanting it not to look like a utility shoe, but probably not a white sole. So starting with colors bug within that it has to like my feet, and not all brands do.

Nice curated collection of sneakers ready for all seasons and purposes. I don’t have as extensive collection myself, just 2 light coloured suede/canvas pairs for spring to fall and 1 dark leather pumas for fall through winter.

I do, yes!

Sneakers are mostly (well, almost entirely) a spring/ summer/ fall item for me, but even so, there are some I wear more in some seasons than others and mostly it has to do with weight/ warmth and some to do with colour.

I wear my white ones (leather, and quite low cut) in spring/ summer/ fall.

I wear the suede/ fabric hibiscus ones (higher cut) in spring and fall.

I wear the black fabric ones in late summer/ fall.

I wear the pewter leather low cut ones in spring and fall.

At one time I had a leather pair, grey, a bit more substantial -- I wore those in spring and fall, almost never in summer.

My new found love for sneakers has been born out of necessity. Real shoes would be my preference but I still can’t find loafers that fit me. To add insult to injury (literally), I’m unable to wear some of my tight fitted fall boots. So, sneakers for now.
Here is a picture of my sneakers collection, not including my real running shoes.

A black suede pair of Rug & Bones and beige Nike are my “winter” sneakers. (Both are bought in 2022). To me they look bulky and heavy and better used with outwear for balance. They are also warm. So, I wear and plan to wear them in November, some December and hopefully on the warm days in other cold months.

Black knitted Nike (2022) is a fall/spring sneaker, a bit too closed on top for high summer.

White Cole Haan & canvas Converse (2020) are for the summers/ spring. I wear them with light jackets, knitwear and shirts.

Grey suede Cole Haan (2018) are extremely comfortable, light summer sneakers but they are orphans, I don’t have much to pair them with. I started to wear light grey again and hope to find ways to style them.

Do you separate your sneakers by seasons? I don’t mean high tops, just the regular sneakers. Or it’s just me being persnickety? Well, my excuse is lack of experience with sporty footwear :)
