I need wide, shallow underwires too. My favorite bras are by Lejaby (a French brand). They are really hard to find in the USA, but I get them at figleaves from the uk. Sometimes yoox has them too. In general I prefer Demi or balconette styles rather than full coverage as the cups tend to be shallower.

I've never tried panache because they don't make c cups.

No, there are some styles of Chantelle that are sold in a 30, but it is harder to find a distributor that sells them. Many places only carry the 32, even in styles were a 30 is available. Also, many Chantelle 32s fit a bit smaller than 32s in other brands according to my bra fitter. I've found this true compared to my Marie Jos and Pananche bras. I have 30s in the Panache but wear a 32 in my Chantelle.
Thanks. Gathering everything at the sides is definitely important, mine are wide and shallow and before I learned about bra fitting I wore an 34A. But who would have thought - I fill out an DD/E when the band fits and I really "scoop" everything into the cups. Big difference!
It gathers everything at the sides, which is what really matters (at least to me) and pushes them slightly to the center without creating an exaggerated cleavage. The plunge is deep but not as deep as the other plunge-bra I have (that one is real plunge for plunge dresses and the like). The plunge on the Tango, I think, is more subtle but also more comfortable.

Glad I made your shopping easier!!

Thanks Irene! My current ones are CHANGE too, but they don't stock much here every season and my size sells out fast. The bras I'm wearing at the moment are all one stlye, one of their balconette styles. They work well for me because they are so shallow. I do think that the Tango full cup won't work for me, how much room is there in the plunge style? Are the cups deep? And thanks SO MUCH for the Debenhams link! Because guess what, I got redirected to a German site! I didn't know this one existed. Ordering there just got a lot easier...
Thanks Shannon! Good luck to you too.

Peri, thanks for the link! I'll go and have a look, I didn't know the blog before. Also thanks for the link to the Porcelain Viva. It looks like a great t-shirt bra.

Thanks for the tip, Elly! I might try the 30DD first then with Panache. I'm on the smallish side of E and often DD is good in the cups and it's only the underwire digging in. I looked up Chantelle, but they are only available with a band size 32, is that true? I definitely need the 30. Thanks for the heads-up on the padding of the deco. I might try something else first then.
I've had three Tango Panache bras (one was a present from a friend who lived in London and I wouldn't have chosen it myself). Two of them were plunge-bras (different sizes since I kept changing size) and the other one is full-cup. No padding.

It's a gorgeous, well fitting bra, and VERY beautiful. I have a big one in white and the other two are hot pink and blue. But it leaves marks on my skin because of the stitching, so it's never been my favourite go-to bra. I think it's also a bit too tight in the band but that's my fault, although it might be that the underwire style doesn't fit me (I recall trying on bigger band-sizes and they were too big). But all this is from when I lived in the UK,

Back in Spain, I've had to settle for CHANGE. It's not the same thing but they are also cheaper, very cute and the fit is alright. I think they fit me better now that I've gone down a cup-size, maybe I was in-between sizes back then or maybe they have just improved their stuff. I just don't have it in me to buy clothes on-line. I wouldn't dare buy a simple t-shirt, let alone a bra!!

For the record, this is one of my favorite t-shirt bras ever:

http://www.debenhams.com/webap.....0809280_-1

Very inexpensive, comfortable and good-looking. Not fancy, I know, but I can live with that after wearing the Hedona Chantelle Bra (http://www.google.es/url?sa=i&.....fM:&v) for most of my teenage years. See, there weren't that many options in my country ten years ago!

You can also take a look at everything Debenhams has in stock, they sell numerous brands (Freya, Panache, Wonderbra...) and have their own, cheaper D++ brand named Gorgeous. I have a couple of fancy bras from Gorgeous and they fit fine and look great!

For the record, I am a 28G/30F girl, so I understand your pain.

Pananche is good, but I find they tend to run a bit large in the cup/ for the very full of breast so you may want to stick just to skimpier styles or go down a cup size. I have a Panache Andorra which is nice.

I have wider, shallower breasts and I really enjoy my Chantelle bras--- you may want to look into "spacer" or memory foam. My fav bra is spacer foam and looks and feels very natural (in fact you can see my n*ps through it when I'm really cold). It also breathes fabulously, and you can tell why--- you can literally see light through the foam when it is off and shilloutted against a window or the like. I am a 30 F or FF or a 32 E or F depending on the manufacturer and bra.

Some freya styles work for me and some don't (deco worked but I didn't love the very thick padding, their sports bras are awesome), but I don't have good luck with fantasie. Natori and Wacoal (Wacoal is american so you probably don't have that option) don't work nearly as well for me.

Hi Astrid! I really think you just described me...one band size higher...32DD which is a UK 32E. Also need lots of width and not much depth. All the bra talk on the board lately has me amazed...so many of us petite but "blessed" ladies. I had always thought I was a bit of an oddball.

I would love to hear about the Tango if you try it...I was eyeing that one as well. There was one recommended for me which I'll try to link in a minute.

Shannon's recent post made me take a good long look at my own bras and my three favourite ones need replacing soon. My current ones are from Change, the only store here that I know of that sells my size (besides some specialized shops). But they don't have the same model anymore and when I had a look recently they were pretty much sold out in my size. I need an UK 30E, but with wide underwires and not too deep cups. I also don't have much volume on top, so full cup bras don't work for me. Plunge and balconette styles are best. I'd love to find some nice basic ones (if they were available in different colors it would be awesome!) with underwires. I'd prefer unpadded ones, but slightly padded ones would be alright too. I will probably need to order in the UK.

I thought of trying something of the Panache Tango series, anyone has experience with those? I'm always reading Panache has wide underwires. I'm glad for any other tips too!
