I would try Naturalizer Canada - the brand is very comfortable, and they do have some flat-ish booties that might work:

http://www.naturalizer.ca/Shop.....3aen-US%29

I don't have a specific style to recommend, since I don't have any Naturalizer boots myself, but I do have a pair of ballet flats that are extremely comfortable from this brand.

Also try Amazon...they've got a fairly big selection too.

I bought a black suede flat pair during NAS. They're very comfy. I've sprayed them, but if they get too gross during the rainy season, I plan to just toss them as they were pretty inexpensive.

Hmm, I've seen BOC around--I can't remember where. Maybe at Winners? We don't have a DSW equivalent, and Zappos doesn't ship to Canada, so unfortunately those options are no gos for me. So frustrating! I'd be so, so thrilled if Zappos would ship here with the same free shipping and returns system the US has.

I recently picked up a pair of zip booties with a low heel (the wide boot kind) that are from BOC - Born's slightly cheaper line. I've had good luck with looking for these styles at a place like DSW (not sure if they're in Canada but I'm sure you've got something similar). Zappos, of course, is very handy if you don't have the time to go out and shop.

I'd suggest looking on zappos.com. They have literally hundreds of styles from which to choose, and you can narrow your search by heel height or color, or even ankle boot versus mid boot. I found some wonderful stretchy-fabric black booties in a wide width by Soft Style, but I don't see them now. Ecco carries an ankle boot with a low heel that might work for you. Good luck!

Has anyone come across a great pair of MOTG-worthy booties? I've been searcing for a long time and I'm coming up short. I really want to find a pair or two this fall. My criteria are thtat they need to be comfy and stable enough to wear on sand, wood chips, and wet grass, and they need to not make me topple over when carrying my 23+ lb 9 month old around on my back for an hour or more at a time, while simultaneously chasing my 3 year old--this means heels of pretty much any kind are not an option. No suede--I live in rainy Vancouver. Any suggestions are much appreciated!

Edited to add that by booties, I mean short or ankle boots--just realized I'm not 100% sure that's what "bootie" means.
