I just bought a pair of really nice Clarks, but they were for a 13" calf. One thing I like about Zappos is that you can customize your search for particular items. Here's what I came up with for 12-12.75" boots.

I'm not affiliated with the company... I hope that helps!

These are my leg measurements...CALF 29cm, ANKLE 18.5cm. I am a very slender gal and I was getting tired of having boots that didn't fit around my calf. I was ready to purchase from a European company but decided to to more research and I stumble over SkinnyLegBoots.com. I wear an US size 7 and the size 37 was perfect for me. I ordered the boot at the beginning of the week and just got it this weekend!! I was so excited to try it on and when I did...WOW!! To have a boot that fits my calf and my ankle...well, I'm happy I purchased it. I would always admire how boots fit on other women and now, I have a boot that fits my skinny legs. Yes, the boot was pricey but until other boot companies realize that we, skinny leg gals, exist and love to wear boots, too, I will only repurchase from SkinnyLegBoots.com. Check it out!!

We just launched a new line called Skinny Leg Boots to address this very issue. Just like the name, they are made for women with very narrow legs. What makes them different than what is already out there on the market? 1. They are crafted from high quality suede and they are made in Spain. 2. All boots ranging in European sizes 36-43 have the same narrow shaft and ankle circumference ensuring a snug fit. 3. They have a side zipper that runs from the top of the boot to the bottom of the foot so that they are easy to take off and slide on. Please take a look at our website http://www.skinnylegboots.com and browse our store.

I am also in pursuit of this type of boot - I mentioned it many times before, so I am sorry if I sound like a broken record. Frankly, I don't understand why narrow calf boots are more expensive, it's not like it's such a rare thing in nature. I see too many ill-fitting too-big-around-the-calf boots, and maybe if more women were aware of it, there would be more mid-price options for consumers.

Another brand that sometimes has smaller circumference is Biviel. I think they are a bit too pricey for the quality, but just fyi.

Joy -- yes, thank you for addressing the heel issue. I also don't want a high heel (2 inches is about my maximum). I still have not found the right phrase to search for these. Angie says it can be done and I'm counting on that, but I haven't found it yet. Duo is the only place I've found that lets you specify the calf measurement, but as I said above, the shipping rates from the UK are high.

Shana -- I hear you about the high-end boots. No can do.

In the meantime, I now can't look at someone in boots and a skirt without checking to see if the calf measurement is too large on her.

I've been keeping a running list of narrow calf boots recommended on the various websites that I visit. Unfortunately, they are mostly high end brands that I cannot afford right now:

1. Charles David
2. Stuart Weitzman
3. Prada
4. Loeffler Randall
5. Max Studio
6. Sigerson Morrison
7. Some Cole Haan

My scrawny calves are a about 12.5 in (although I have been working out and hope that I can build some muscle that will add some girth!). When I was in Germany over xmas I actually found several boots (across different price ranges) that worked but unfortunately I was in a total no spend mode so I couldn't buy any

April, I'm a 12" calf also looking for the boot that will fit my calf in tights with skirts...and I don't want a high heel. The Franco Sartos were still too big. The Stuart Weitzmans I've seen all have higher heels than I can wear comfortably.
Please post any successes you have. Right now I'm wearing Aerosoles that are the closest I've been able to come but still they are big enough to tuck in straight leg jeans, so too wide for a polished look with skirts.

Maya -- yes, it's the calf measurement that's 12", but I do have three pairs of tall boots that are plenty big enough to accommodate jeans. It's the form-fitting, skirt-worthy ones that I'm having trouble finding. (One of them has a buckle, so I'll definitely try your suggestion!) Thanks.

LeeHovey -- I tried your suggested search, and it does bring up a lot of hits. When you follow the links, though, most of them are regular boots that come in a narrow shoe size, or they are called "Narrow Calf" -- there's a brand called Fitzwell that uses this description -- but the circumference is still 13.5. I will keep looking, because there are lots of options there and maybe one of them will be lucky. Thank you!

If Stuart Weitzman is in your budget, give it a try. If not, Franco Sarto, Sudini, and some La Canadienne styles run a little narrower than usual. Also look for boots with buckles at the top if you don't mind the style. I have some boots that are wider but I can adjust them with the buckle.

Also, do you need boots with a 12" circumference or are your calves 12"? Because if 12" is your calf measurement, your boots should be at least 12.5" or maybe bigger if you plan on wearing jeans tucked into them.

I read Angie's post about how tall boots must fit snugly at the calf, and am now realizing that none of my beloved boots actually fit correctly (at least when worn with skirts).

What I need is boots with a 12-inch shaft circumference. When I search this online, what I get is a lot of boots with 12-inch tall shaft, regardless of circumference. Does anyone have any online search tips for finding boots for narrower calves?

I know about Duo, but the shipping costs from the UK give me pause. Has anyone solved this problem?
