Thanks ladies. Ahh I see Angie, thanks for the link. I suspect the sleeves on my navy jacket aren't quite slim enough and I also have slim forearms. I'll have a little experiment. I wonder if a hidden safety pin somewhere might help?

PS - I do roll my denim jacket sleeves up the way Angie does, with the cuff flipped back over, but I roll them higher to make up for the lack of scrunch.

I have skinny forearms and sometimes if I fold the bottom of the sleeve a couple of times and then scrunch it up my arm it stays. It may wrinkle your jacket but I guess that's the price of fashion. A shirt underneath with "sticky" fabric can help too. Skinny forearms of the world unite :)

I generally can't do it. I think it has to do with the size/shape of your arms in proportion to your relative body size. My forearms are quite thin, much thinner than the rest of my frame would suggest. Angie has said that most of my sleeves are just too loose to scrunch. I find it very hard, maybe impossible, to find a jacket with slim enough forearms that will also fit the rest of my body. (Even my unlined knit blazer won't stay scrunched.)

Rubber bands or hair ties inside the cuff will keep them up, but it's painful after a while.

Here you go, Diane:

http://youlookfab.com/2012/05/.....scrunched/

It's all in the tapered fit of the sleeve. Sleeves that aren't sleek on the forearm, do not scrunch.

I'm curious. How do you scrunch the sleeves on a jacket or blazer and get them to stay put?
