Warning!! The hat is shipped in a bag and came completely crushed. I'd only buy in store. Who ships a hat not in a box??
Well, my big over buying is whittling to a reasonable amount by attrition anyway. Sigh.

Amy, that makes me smile somehow
Mtgirl, I admit at first I didn't notice dry clean on the label of the blue . . . I bet I'll dry clean at first and one day decide I am just going to try delicate machine wash and hang dry.
Aida, I did have some pairings in mind when I chose each of these. Even though the blue was impulse and not pre planned, I have that color in other items and know it works. Utmost in my mind was skinny pants, and my Vince leather in particular, with booties. But half tucked into Leith track pants, tucked into skirts, with certain shorts . . . I have ideas!
Still waiting on the blush and the hat.

Love those! Somehow Mo it makes me happy to see you shopping again.

I've been shopping dutifully, but nothing so fresh and cheery as you're posting.

Fun clothes!

I love the blue shirt... Will you really dry clean it (I think you said you avoid dry clean shirts)? I know sometimes you can wash rayon in the washer on gentle but I never know when. I would like either the blue or white one.

Great buys Mo! These all look perfectly versatile, to dress casually in, toughen up when desired, or even to pair with something a bit dressier if needed. SUPER colors for you, and they can all be paired very nicely with both white and black along with blush. Clever, was this on purpose? I think you'll have enough fun playing around with these pieces to help curb any itch that pops up. Plus it'll give you a chance to really figure out if you're missing something that might bridge even more looks with them together.

Andi, it's H&M. Couldn't find it in the store, but it's online and in the recent catalog. http://www.hm.com/us/product/29350?article=29350-A
As a test, I wore my purple Alloy shirt today over white shorts to the movies. I think I will get wear out of the these soft drape button fronts this fall.

The shirts are really great. I am a big fan of purple, myself. I also think the dress will be a more versatile option for you, perhaps I am knew to YLF, so I don't know you. However, I just looked on your blog, and you look fantastic in the dress! I will be interested to see how you style the hat.

The tax free weekend had me scooping up several things. It feels like a lot to me, but I know many of you shop seasonally and in batches. For me, more than 2 or 3 things is very rare. It actually had me stopping to think if I needed each piece. Kind of like buyer's remorse I guess.
When I do think of it, the colors of the button fronts I've bought replace exactly the same colors of long sleeve knits that I've purged. So there is some method behind the madness, even subconsciously. Ironic, that everyone is knit frenzied, and I'm looking into wovens for once. Hunh.
I always worry about over saturating any one style, and have tried to keep with one light neutral, one dark neutral, and a color or pattern to start off. Then, if I find I do wear it and it has staying power, I can look into more. Well, if I consider the purple Alloy shirt (pic 2) as a starter piece to try the trend at a cheap entry level, with the blue as an upgrade, I'm on plan. (by the way, the blue looks way better IRL - I would never have looked twice at it online by that pic) Otherwise, I am starting to get carried away. I also have a black Costco Equipment-like top courtesy of Una.
And since they are a bit out of season for me still, I really need to put on the brakes, as I won't know just how often I'll wear them for at least another month or two.
The red random find dress and the blue blouse took the place of the white sundress I was contemplating.
The white shorts and blush blouse were on the list.
The hat has been a 'keep an eye out' since spring.
Time to chill out on the buying again :)
