I haven't had any problems with viscose, but I wouldn't agitate it in the machine, not even the "hand wash" cycle. You could always try just washing the pits first.</p> <p>Great top, and are you sure you can just wear it in the cold office over white bottoms? I use handwash cycle in front-loading washer, then shake out, or tumble on low for just a few minutes, then lay flat to dry. Guess I'm jolly lucky! I really like the asymmetrical hemline - will have to remember that for a future knitting project.</p> <p>Since it's a viscose knit, I think you should be able to hand wash it. If it wants to shrink, you can block it back into it's original size and shape.
