I do most of my shopping via Ebay these days, but I ask for a lot of measurements first, so for me the 'schrodinger's dress' moment is waiting for the seller to get back to me. It looks perfect. I ordered this dress. I now think of it as Shrodinger's dress: as long as it's in the box, it's either the perfect dress or just another miss. It's due to arrive tomorrow and then I will have to steel myself to open it up and face the music. But for now, it's all I want in a dress and I can fantasize about owning the perfect LBD.</p> <p>You don't get this opportunity to dream about a purchase like this in the store: you find it, you try it on, and it either works or not right away. Does anyone else both love and fear the anticipation of an on-line order like this? </p>
