That's a nice one, Gigi. I've found a couple that are 67 inches long, and not too wide, so I'm hopeful. At 5'2" tall, I'm not overly short, so I think this is do-able now that I have been shown a better way to tie, lol. I don't want anything wrapped around my neck (I dislike turtlenecks for that reason) and I don't want anything tied right at the bustline. The right type of scarf + experimentation is what it's going to take.

I have to buy shorter lengths too. It really is difficult finding something that fits the bill. I just got this scarf and like it a lot.

Yeah, I figure I won't have a large scarf collection, but that's okay. If I can find a few to spice up my wardrobe, it will be worth it. Besides looking for thinner fabrics, I'm also looking for shorter lengths that won't overwhelm me. I think I can make this work if I'm careful what I buy. I'm also very picky about prints, so that makes buying mistakes less likely.

I too have to avoid the thicker fabrics because I just drown in them! That really excludes a lot of scarves, unfortunately. I have only a handful...but each one is very much loved! They can really add a nice touch to a plain outfit.

I have had a problem with them too. You are right thin fabrics -and you can take a long narrow scarf and make it like an infinity scarf by tying the ends together and make a big loop. then loop it twice and you have an infinity scarf that is a thin fabric and drapes lower around neck. I like this as I have a short neck in addition to being busty.

This is the one I learned today. It looks more complicated than it actually is, and that's exactly what I want.
http://blog.antoniovalente.ca/...../scarf.jpg

It's always great to have something new we can try! And scarves can certainly be intimidating. I tend to simply throw mine on (literally!) but I am always impressed by the beautifully tied ones that I see on some women.

That's wonderful to hear, Betty (I love scarves, and need to stop myself from buying more;-)
More lightweight fabrics is a good way to go if you are concerned about adding bulk up top. What kind of "knot(s)" did you learn today?

I never have been a scarf person, but I think it's because I never really knew how to tie one in such a way that it wouldn't look ridiculous on me. A coworker of mine who's from Pennsylvania wore a scarf today, and gave me a quick tutorial. Now I feel like I can do it in a more creative way that won't highlight my chest

One thing's for sure. On busty me, I can't have thick fabric, so I've chosen to stick with thinner fabrics and avoid infinity scarves (I tried those; you don't wanna know how bad).
