I've found that it works well for most fabrics and haven't had it do any damage to anything. I have tried starting with the middle of a rolled scarf at my neck then wrapping around back to front, tying a knot, and tucking the ends back into the scarf wrap, but this doesn't ever stay, especially with silk scarves. Then it becomes a maintenance issue with me fiddling with it constantly and eventually wearing the tails out. Which I don't like. Any suggestions? </p>
