Charmian, that scarf is very fun! I think you are right that the scarf won't have exactly the same drape if you cut off the fringe, but it will still have some drape. Looking at the fringe, it looks like it was added after and that you'll still have a well-finished rolled edge if you just snip it off. I'd do it. What are you losing if you don't like the drape? The fringe is already keeping you from wearing it as much as you would otherwise. Why not take a chance on salvaging it?

Natalie, I'm just delighted that you put together this challenge -- I didn't realize you were going to comment on our outfits, too! You are intimidatingly organized, lady! :)

Anyway, here's my belated entry (was swamped with weekend festivities): it's my very first scarf, a navy conversational print. I don't wear it anymore because the fringe is just too boho for me, but I really adore the color and print. I thought if I put it in a tight knot against a strict white-and-black palette, I could salvage the scarf -- but now I've lost the adorable print. Any thoughts on how to show more print without showing more fringe?

( seriously, I love this print -- it makes me smile every time I walk by it in the closet! )

One idea I had was to cut off the fringe. However, this is made of a (cheap) silk, and I'm worried it won't drape right after the weight is gone. Thoughts?

Natalie, your scarf looks fantastic! I love a scarf as a headband, and I particularly love the variations of Pucci scarf/dress pairing.

Sara, the extra boost of color from the scarf is gorgeous. What a great way to break up a dark outfit and make it lean toward spring!

Here's my outfit for the day. I'm shamelessly copying Day Vies' gorgeous outfit of a few weeks ago. Hers had chocolate boots, which I think look lusher than my taupe ones, but I'm going with what I got. Plus I got to wear it with my Angie recommended taupe snakeskin belt. I pulled an old BCBG clearance scarf out and tied it with a braided tie straight from the youtube video of 25 ways to tie a scarf.

Natalie, thanks for the inspiration to wear scarves this week! It has been fun giving that side of my wardrobe a workout.

There's something about you in turquoise and black that I adore and then to add that EP scarf as a headband is brilliant! You look amazing!

Love the scarf tied in your hair! Great outfit!

Here is mine today. Black summer dress with moto over top and long narrow scarf tied infinity style and looped 3X. I had a black turtleneck on earlier but got too hot and took it off.

Fun idea to wear the scarf as a headband! I've tried that before but I've never been able to get it to work. The silky material of the scarf always falls out of my hair.

Hi ladies--sorry for not being able to comment yet on prior threads--so exhausted from work and the kids. I am hoping to have more time this weekend to go back and savor everyone's scarf outfits!

I just started a week of hospital call--just hoping to make it through the next two weeks of work without having the baby, which is due in only 3 weeks!

I wore this combination of dress and scarf once before:
http://goldenpig.lookfab.com/p.....octors-bag
but it was so fun I thought I'd try it again while pregnant. I love matchy matchy, as you all know!

1-2.
Emilio Pucci turquoise print scarf (Loehmann's), worn as headband
Michael Kors turquoise print faux wrap dress
Tahari black jacket
Dooney & Burke yellow satchel
Clark black pumps
3. How I wore it in May--almost exactly the same!
4. Closeup of the scarf.

Thanks for contributing your own looks as well!
