You could also try to pin using the selvage of the scarf, which is stronger, or double over the scarf for extra strength. The same sort of weight as the ubiquitous pashmina. I don’t think it would work with a silk scarf. Too light and the pins might damage it. It needs to be fabric that looks like it could be made into a skirt, if that makes sense. My mum actually thought the scarf was a skirt, until I showed her. It was perfection. The teal skirt I have been waiting for. I’m going to hit the thrift shops to look for a dark floral scarf now.</p> <p>Joy, thanks. A tube skirt will give a different look. Not as flared. Leopard would be great! And there is definitely a lot of potential for pattern mixing between the scarf and the underskirt.
