I also spray them with waterproof spray from time to time just in case I get caught in the rain with them (which has happened). I spray (keep it in my shoe closet) before I wear each time to be sure it has protection. Anyways, popping back with a question. I know it's still summer (and a hot one to boot, no pun intended) but I do have a question about lighter colored boots, the upkeep exactly. I have steered away from lighter colored boots (caramel or cognac) as in the past my pair of caramel boots got ruined in the rain. The ark marks were impossible to remove. But I never did anything to condition them, so that might contribute ( that was really YEARS) ago. Now, I got a pair in Whiskey color and would love to keep them looking spiffy as long as possible. I understand I should keep them for drier days, but that's not a problem, I have 3 pairs of other boots so they're always in rotation anyways.. I know a lot of you fashionable Ladies have footwear in lighter colors, how do you keep them looking nice and new?
