I've never had issues walking many miles in thong style-if they are leather. The plastic ones tend to have an uncomfortable ridge. Thong sandals have less potential for discomfort to me cause less other straps and little toes don't rub like they do with horizontal straps.

My Rockport Cobb Hills are amazing. They come in all three widths; the Narrow worked perfectly for me. I can't wait until it warms up enough that I can wear these again.

I can't recommend any particular finds, but in the past, Naot and Josef Seibel have been great for me for lots of walking. Naots in particular can be very pricey, but they are oh-so-comfy and worth the money.

Assuming all Naturalizers are super-comfortable, here are a couple more options with a different sole. I think the sole is still thick, but they’re using some optical illusions to make them look thinner.

Hi Mac --

Hope you have a good visit!

I thought I was up on all the comfort brands, but last year I ran into The Flexx (Italian-based, their site has info about their construction techniques and material).

I ended up buying a pair of their ~ 1.5" sandals after being happy with how comfortable their 3" boots were!

You'll find both at A and Z. though the latter tends to get the newer, full-price styles.

ps they have lots of metallic options, which I personally love for a neutral sandal

I second Brooklyn’s suggestion of the EF sandals . I have a pair in blush plaited leather and they are super comfy. They are reasonably refined because they are slim fitting and not too chunky. I wear mine with shorts, pants and dresses .

I walk about 10 km a day in my EF sandals. They do have a slightly sporty vibe with the white sole. You can get them in black with a black sole.

I have the same Naot sandals that delurked has and have found them to be great for miles of walking. The metallic ones look better in person. I don't think the photo does them justice.

I have worn Clarks for years for serious walking, but the cute ones I had are no longer available. I just got some Clarks that are sporty and clunky, because I was desperate. However, I had these Aravons for a few years and loved them for comfort, walking, and being adjustable in 3 places. I have slightly wide forefeet, narrow heels, and low volume feet. These are not as delicate looking as your old faves, though....

I found a great pair of silver Ecco sandals at the Rack for cheap. Got me through Cuba and Australia.
Let me see if I can the style or something similar

ETA It was similar to this.

I will be following this carefully. I’ve got some that work for a decent amount of walking. Naot Kayla comes in lots of colors, and runs narrower. It’s got a stiff footbed, which would feel different than your last ones. I’ve also found success with Ecco sandals. One shoe I didn’t buy (because I was wearing out my current ones) is Abeo from the Walking Company Brynn. It’s on my list when I need replacement sandals. I realize my choices may skew more “comfort” looking than you prefer. But those seem to work better for me. https://www.thewalkingcompany......-red/73246

Currently in the USA and scanning amazon and zappos for some sandals I can wear lots this summer. Here are some of my qualifiers:
- Toronto tends to be hot and humid in July and August, so I need some shoes with lots of ventilation
- well-suited for an active mama-on-the-go (chasing son ‘round the park, lots of city walking, up and down stairs, etc).
-I have delicate skin that blisters easily, so alas no sandals that have a thong (piece that goes between toes) .
-Fairly narrow, low volume feet: can usually do M but never W
-Tend to do best with heel height between half and inch and 1.5 inch.
- Prefer something not Too sporty and not Too orthotic, that I could wear with sundresses as well as casual shorts and T-shirt’s
- several years ago I bought a pair advised by Angie - The Smooch style, indigo by Clarks (see attached photo) - that I wore til they disintegrated. Pretty enough, neutral colour, good for dressing up or down and So comfortable for walking... anything of this ilk would be lovely
- born and Clark’s are brands I’ve enjoyed in the past but price and brand are unimportant

Do any of you lovelies have a suggestion for me, please?

Thanks so much. Xox
