Well, a size up in the Diba’s could work. I need to wear them around the house to really assess, but I like that they are not exactly the same as the Gentle Souls I already have, but function similarly.

I tried and already returned these adorable A+O sneakers that I just had to try. The pattern distribution on the pair I got was not to my liking at all.

They all look good to me. I was wondering how you get those Vince sandals on, till I read about the elastic. It's a neat look without a buckle. Yours look lighter than pictured online.

It's fun to shop for sandals vicariously!

Trying to respond on my phone is always hard, but here goes!

Lisa, the front piece of the Dibas is very comfortable because it’s quite soft, not stiff at all. I actually ordered and received the half size up, which seems to work — I need to try on for a longer length of time to truly assess. I like the looks of them.

Anchie and Carla, you are too sweet. I never think of my legs as shapely, but the calves are definitely the better half of them, LOL. Thank you.

Sarah D8, my current Gentle Souls (rose gold) are still going strong but this may be their last summer — there were definitley times last summer when I wished I had the same vibe of that show, but in a cool metallic. No question they would work for me, but do I want the exact same shoe? That’s what I need to ponder.

Nemosmom, the heel straps on the Vince seem to be comfortable but need road testing in the house to be sure. They are elastic with no buckle to adjust, which gives me a slight pause. I love how those look from the front - not as wild about the side view.

JAileen, I rarely worry about my feet looking bigger — they’re smallish for my height, and I think that a chunkier shoe can actually help make my legs look a bit thinner in comparison (does that sound crazy?), but there is definitely a balance I try to achieve.

Interesting to see the love for the Pikolonos — to me they seem the most utilitarian of the lot. They don’t excite me but would be useful. I think I would like them more in a reptile print — my other obsession in summer footwear, as I passed on an old pair of snake print sandals last year and find myself missing them sometimes. I ordered a couple of pairs to try but they did not pass fit or comfort tests.

Angie, my feet are just *slightly* narrow (measured in a shoe store last year while shopping for comfort shoes for hubs and they are an 8 just barely B width — they were solidly A width when I was younger and my mom took a AAA!) and just *slightly* low-volume. A lot of shoes I try have too much room around the mid foot even if they fit ok at the widest point, and heels slide off on most loafers and pumps. I use insoles to take up extra room in pretty much all my boots and shoes, but sandals are way less forgiving as you know. I can make a lot of sandals work for me, and certain styles like those thong types sidestep the issue nicely, but many are *just* that little bit too wide or full in the mid foot straps if they are not adjustable. I encountered that with a couple of Fly London’s. Your feet are exceptionally narrow and small, but you also are very small-framed so it’s all in nice proportion. I think Pikolonos in general have always been fairly friendly for the moderately narrow/low-volume among us.

I’ll update after a little more try-on time. Thank you all for the feedback!

I really love the Vince flatforms, Janet. They look great on you. I like all the others as well, but they look so similar to those you already own. Of the others, I prefer the Pikolinos, since I think the back strap in a different color adds a bit of interest.

I like the Vince best, then the Gentle Souls, then the Pikolinos, and I don’t like the last pair- too much top foot coverage and I agree they don’t fit.
But I do like refined looking sandals and I know you are happier with chunkier ones than me, so maybe take my opinion with a grain of salt?

I actually like the Pikolonos the best followed by the Gentle Souls, then the Vince. I like mix of colors/materials on the Pikolonos. I would like the Vince more without the jute braid or with a different material in its place, but it's not a deal breaker. I don't think you can wrong with any of them.

FUN sandal search :)

LOVE SEEING THE LIGHT COLOURS.

I like the Pikolinos best, Janet. KILLER. Interestingly, I think they are the most modern and trendy of the lot. (I think you might have more regular volume feet. By comparison, my feet would drown in all of these sandals).

The Vince are a nice classic update on the thong style you wear a lot in high Summer. Pretty on your pretty feet. Make sure they go the distance.

Gentle Souls are indeed a no-brainer.

Diba do look too short, and my least favourite of the lot, probably because of the ill-fit. Nice metallic and sole though.

I like the Vince and the Pikolonos. I think the back strap in the different color on the Pikolonos makes them look a bit unusual. The Gentle Soles are great if you think you won't split wears or want to give the other pair a rest occasionally.

I like the Gentle Souls best. I have big feet so I always look for footwear that makes my feet look graceful. And the Gentle Souls do that for your feet. The first pair doesn’t. I think they’re clunky looking. But that’s JFE, right? Plus you don’t have big feet. So it’s not on your radar screen.

I googled the Gentle Souls and they come in pink...

I like the Vince ones on you, followed by the Gentle Souls. The Diba are super cool, but agree they look too short in length.

How does the heel strap on the Vince feel? Does it rub when you walk? Heel straps tend to be the decider for me long before I am bothered by the toe post.

I like the Vince sandals for you — they seem like something a bit different that is still in your style wheelhouse.

Did you say your existing pair of those gentle souls slides is wearing out? If you still see yourself wearing that style a lot I would definitely duplicate, as they are likely to not be duplicated for long. (But, I think the question then is: will you want to wear that style again next year? Bc with two pair, plus other new sandals this summer, I think you’ll end up discarding the first pair at the end of this season and having the second in good to excellent condition for next year. If you think you’ll be over the style by then, I wouldn’t duplicate— just wear out the existing pair in the mix with your new sandals. I always end up wearing a new pair of summer shoes heavily which means fewer opportunities to wear the old ones even if I still like them.)

Woo, a novel in parentheses! Do I get a prize? Lol

I've never heard of this Diba line- looks like they have some cool stuff. I really like the ones you have posted here- although that high bit in front could be a problem for rubbing? The Vince ones are cute - but I wonder how attracted one would be to them if they were just some random inexpensive sandal and not a $$ bridge line shoe. That's just me though - I love Vince stuff but it is SO overpriced in Canada. I can't even LOOK at sandals right now - Spring seems to have stalled here . Snowing this morning ;( I"m waiting for the first seasonal promo sales to start before I buy anything .

I’ve gone off the deep end on the search for new sandals for this summer, I’m afraid. In the quest for something that has a different feel from my current collection as an update, I have ordered enough to try that i now have sandal fatigue, haha!

These are the ones so far that are resonating with me, both style and comfort-wise.

1-2 I like the updated looks of the white Vince flatforms — they somehow seem to bridge the chunky yet JFE divide (at least from the front view, I think). However, they need to be worn around the house for a significant time to see whether the toe post bugs me. I typically don’t find them uncomfortable but want to be sure.

3-4 The Gentle Soul sandals are a no-brainer IF I decide I don’t mind duplicating — I have these in rose gold and have worn them tons. They work with everything from dresses to shorts and have just enough edge/trendiness.

5-6 these Pikolonos are not exciting per se but they are comfortable. I think I’ll pass though — I’m holding out for a bit more edge. These are good for us low-volume/slightly narrow fits though!

7-8 I like the looks of these Diba slides but they were a bit too short in the length in my regular size — I ordered a half size up to try, but I’m afraid they’ll be too loose in the width.

It turns out the various Fly London sandals I tried were either not quite the right fit or not quite the style I was after. There was a cute pair of lace up OTBT but they were not comfortable enough.

I’m waiting on a couple more pairs before I decide.
