I took back the purple one because it was pretty baggy around the waist. I took back the green one because it was really not comfortable. I kept the red one, the denim, and the black. The denim was marked down to $50 from $130! Pretty good savings and no sales tax.<br /> How wonderful to have help from all you nice ladies.<br /> Also I decided to take back the repeat pair of Hudson Stella jeans and got a bootcut. That makes my 3 pairs of premium denim all different, one skinny, one bootcut , and one more of a, hmmn, I guess it would be kind of a trouser leg. They are at home and I haven't worn them yet. I'll post a picture when I go home. You may never find something like it in the states - or it may be more expensive. I think that the red corduroy jacket looks very nice on you. If you are more of a casual dresser, that jacket with a nice top underneath and maybe a nice scarf would looked very put together. Whether you need more "polished" jackets really depends on your lifestyle. The sales gal said that light weight jackets have a short season here because soon it will be getting very cold, which is why there was quite a selection of them on sale.<br /> Maybe the Nordstrom sale page will have the purple one. I didn't really want a black jacket but this one came in black, khaki, or orange, so the other two colors were not an option for me. A scarf or two would be fun to liven up the black. It is a very comfy jacket and only $78 at Nordstroms.<br /> Thanks ladies for taking the time to give your thoughts on my purchases. I find the green one attractive but it is not very comfortable and is 100% cotton with no stretch fiber so I'll take it back. I thought I liked the purple but will take a second look at it after hearing several nays on that one. Also it is corduroy and I know I must be careful that it doesn't look sloppy.<br /> Do you advise me to look for more polished jackets? More like a blazer to wear with jeans?<br /> Alaska is awesome. We are having so much fun looking around. I now am in love with the Muskox. People back home have asked me if they smell musky and the answer is no, not that I noticed and we got very close to them at the Muskox farm in Palmer. We are looking everywhere for a moose. We were told that we are trying to hard. We need to just let it happen and we will see one.
